Ms. Hazel, the lab mix! Prior to coming to Ridgeside K9 Charlottesville, her family advised that she was your typical puppy, lacking impulse, needing potty training, and energy for days!

Hazel was enrolled in Phase 1 of our all inclusive puppy program, where our focus was on her foundation; slowing things down, establishing/maintaining boundaries, and growing confidence to help her excel. We were so pleased with her growth during her time with us!

We’re thrilled to announce our new partnership with the Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center! Together, we’ll be working to provide training support for some of their long-term residents—dogs who, through no fault of their own, just need a little help navigating the world and a second chance at finding their forever families.

One dog who especially touched our hearts is Ms. Angel. She’s a sweet, affectionate pup who’s developed some anxiety due to her past and extended time in the shelter. We’re confident that with the right structure and support, she’ll be well on her way to becoming the calm, confident companion she’s meant to be—and we can’t wait to help her find the loving home she deserves 🥰

As part of this collaboration, any dog adopted from Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center will now receive 10% off any of our training programs.

Meet Mr. Tucker, the pitty! Prior to arriving at Ridgeside K9 Charlottesville, Tucker’s family reached out for assistance in trying to solve the severe separation anxiety/reactivity issues they were experiencing.

Tucker bad been through a program with a previous company, but unfortunately it didn’t help in his ability to process stress/uncontrolled world. Now, he’s able to confidently ride in the car while in a crate, his owners leave the house without him causing self harm, learn how to manage his stress with the big world, and use that energy and drive for something productive!

With Tucker, our focus was on slowing things down, reinforcing clear boundaries, and building his confidence so both he and his family could thrive. We’re incredibly proud of the progress he made during his time with us!
