Spent an AWESOME weekend with The Finnabair boys Maguire & Newt and Ren Hope trying a new dog sport venue-NASDA. The dogs searched antler sheds, lost items and rats in a total of 24 (12 per dog)searches in 2 days.
These amazing boys searched in the rain all day Saturday and then 40F today with 25 MPH wind gusts with most searches outside and they blew me away!! They showed Alabama what Glen of Imaal Terriers can do!
🏆🏆Maguire earned 23 qualifying runs with 4 new titles: Shed (SD1), Lost Item (LI-1), Urban Locating (UL-1) & Trailing (TL-1.)
PLUS 7 High in Class (1 ribbon missing), 5 Best of Breeds, and 3 High Combined awards. 🏆🏆 (some ribbons are missing)
🏆🏆Newt earned the following titles: Lost Item Level 1, Shed Level 1, Urban Locating Level 1 and Trailing & Locating Level 1. He had 21 out 24 qualifying runs, 8 best of breed and 6 high in class awards. He also was high in combined for Shed Level 1 and Urban Locating Level 1! 🏆🏆
⚡️These boys are phenomenal! They are the first Glen of Imaal Terriers to earn NASDA titles per the NASDA website too! ⚡️ Rocket City Dog Sports put on a fantastic event in a outstanding venue, The Orion Amphitheatre. Spectacular Weekend with three of my BEST FRIENDS!! ❤

Every year I reflect back on my dogs and our training wins and successes. After my Dad died and then COVID we did not trial much and we moved interstate. In 2023 we started back trialing some.
🔥🔥Maguire had a fantastic year earning a total of 35 titles (19 in AKC events) along with several other significant accomplishments (Select Dog at our Nationals for first GCH major with stiff competition for his first weekend as a special, a Senior Earthdog(SE) leg and a few other things I won't bore you with!)🔥🔥 Maguire will be 2 in April.
🎉🎉Griffin, at 10, has been mostly retired but we dabbled in some things this year too earning 8 total titles .🎉🎉

The Finnabair Boys Finnabair Holligan(Newt) CGC TKI BCAT FITB & Finnabair Larger Than Life (Maguire)JE SCN SEN SBN CGC TKP VHMA VHMP FITS had a fantastic weekend of hunting rats with Oak Ridge Kennel Club & Oh, Rats Dog Training.
Newt and Lauren experienced their first Barn Hunt trial and earned TWO Novice qualifying runs with a FIRST and SECOND place! 🔥🔥 I think they are HOOKED!
Maguire earned two qualifying runs in Novice to finish his RATN going High in Class (HIC)💥💥 for one run and then earning his first ever Open Barn Hunt qualifying run. ⚡️⚡️
The club put on such a pleasant, well run and FUN trial! It was a wonderful weekend with super hospitality and a great group of dog people!! Thank you to the clubs and the judge who made this such a fantastic tria

FUN times at the C-WAGS Scent Work Trial today in Chattanooga!
Maguire earned 8 Q's and 2 new titles Scent Patrol (CW-SP) Level 1 & Scent Ranger (CW-ScR1) Level 1 Titles. (CWAGS requires 4 Q's to title)
Cooper earned Scent Detective (CW-SD) Level 2 Title and some Q's in Scent Detective , Investigator and Ranger 2.
Griffin earned 3 Q's in Ranger 2.
CWAGS is FUN venue with different challenges. The ribbons are really pretty too!

Making progress! Maguire has value for the teeter now as evidenced by this drive to go before cued so we have to work on stimulus control. Also working outside opens up new distractions to his training with smells, sights and sounds (in this case a tractor) all things he has to learn to work through....one step at a time!
