Look who is doing 12 poles now on the first try! Never even missed a beat when I added the lat 2 poles!
⭐️ ⭐️ Maguire’s learned 6 poles in 6 days!! SUPERSTAR!! ⭐️ ⭐️
This is Maguire’s 4th session to learn weaves. No luring was used for this behavior.
Maguire is learning weaves!
Making progress! Maguire has value for the teeter now as evidenced by this drive to go before cued so we have to work on stimulus control. Also working outside opens up new distractions to his training with smells, sights and sounds (in this case a tractor) all things he has to learn to work through....one step at a time!
Started teeter work this week!
Maguire is learning to go to multiple marks and perform a behavior. This is his second session and I’m very pleased with his progress. Working away from the handler increases the complexity for the dog.
Maguire is learning to track a humans scent with a track laid by a tracklayer walking a track and leaving a glove at the end of the track. In AKC the track can have 3-4 turns at the lowest level and be 440-500 yards. This is Maguire's second time to track.
It’s cold and flu season so Maguire is working on a new trick!
Maguire is working on a new trick peekaboo on my feet and has really improved on the orbit trick!
More progress on orbit trick! He totally gets it now just needs polishing! I’m impressed with his tight turns!
Maguire is working on front position. I toss a low value treat (cheerio)away and reward with a higher value treat (salmon treat) for position.
After the second session Maguire totally has the concept and we just have to clean it up a bit!! What a remarkable puppy!
This probably doesn’t look like much yet but I’m very excited with Maguire’s success in his first ever session for orbit( back around handler.) we already had a solid back up and pretty solid rear ended awareness so I gave it a try today. Brilliant boy!! Excuse my super excited voice!😀
