As the temperature drops, it is important to take extra steps to ensure your pet stays healthy and comfortable. Here are a few tips to help your furry friends stay safe during the cold weather.

Limit Outdoor Time: While some pets love the cold, it's best to limit outdoor playtime to prevent frostbite or hypothermia. Be sure to bring them inside when it is too cold for comfort.
Coats and Sweaters: Small or short-haired pets may need extra warmth. Invest in a cozy coat or sweater to help them stay warm during walks.
Protect Their Paws: Snow and ice can cause injury or irritation to paws. Consider using pet-friendly booties, or wipe down their paws after walks.
Hydration and Nutrition: Cold weather can dehydrate your pets too! Make sure they have fresh water and proper nutrition to keep their energy levels up.
Check Their Sleeping Area: Ensure your pets sleeping area is warm and dry. A comfortable, draft-free spot will help them rest easy.

If your pet is in need of immediate care, don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We’re ready to assist in any emergency situation to ensure your furry friend gets the help they need.

January is WALK YOUR PET MONTH🐾🐾

🐾 Benefits of Walking Your Pet 🐾

Start with short, frequent walks and take breaks as needed to keep both you and your pet comfortable! 🐕✨

Remember, walks are not just exercise—they’re an opportunity for your dog to explore and enjoy their environment! 🌿🐾 Let your furry friend have sniff breaks (within reason), as it helps with mental stimulation. 🐶

👉 Always choose safe footing to avoid slips, falls, and injuries for both you and your pet. 🚶‍♀️🦴

🔒 Follow leash laws and always clean up after your dog to keep your community clean and safe. 🌍

As you celebrate the start of a brand-new year, remember to keep your furry friends safe and calm. 🐾 Fireworks, festive foods, and holiday hazards can be stressful for pets.

🐾🎄Here are a few tips to help keep your pets safe and relaxed during the festivities. 🐾🎄

Keep Decorations Out of Reach: Holiday decorations like tinsel, lights, and ornaments can be tempting for curious paws, but they can be dangerous if ingested or chewed on. Keep them high up or in areas your pets cannot access!

Watch Out for Toxic Foods: Chocolate, grapes, raisins, and some artificial sweeteners (like xylitol) can be harmful to pets. Keep holiday treats out of their reach to avoid accidents.

Create a Safe Space: With all the hustle and bustle, give your pets a quiet, comfortable spot away from the noise where they can relax. A cozy bed or crate can help them feel secure.

Limit Stressful Noises: The sound of fireworks or loud music can be overwhelming for some pets. If you know there will be loud celebrations, try to keep them indoors in a calm environment.

Maintain Routine: Stick to your pet’s regular feeding and walking schedule to help them feel more at ease during the busy season.

Give Extra TLC: Lots of love and attention will go a long way to keeping your pet feeling safe and secure.

If your fur kid gets injured or sick, we are here for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, (including holidays) with compassionate, expert veterinary care.❤️

Wishing you and your pets a safe, happy and healthy New Year!
