A sad reminder why it’s important to work with a reputable breeder. Puppies need to be socialized in the first few months and if they’re not, then they can have severe behavioral issues our puppies are raised in our home and play all day with the other dogs and cats inside and outside.

Here's your monthly reminder! If you buy anything from Petland, you are supporting puppy mills. Here's a fairly young puppy mill mama who has been overbred. Once she is older and can't breed, they will toss her aside because she then becomes an expense. Do better people.

I am gut wrenching sick. I purchased a Shih tzu just last Sunday. I waited and waited 8 weeks for his arrival.

Piper and I bonded very fast. We fell in love with each other. He was a perfect bouncing baby Sunday and Monday. Tuesday and yesterday he would not eat anything and threw up 3 times. I assumed he missed his mama and sisters.

It didn't seem right so I took him into the dr. Close to immediately and Piper was diagnosed with parvo. He is a very sick little puppy. The entire litter is probably effected. Possibly the 8 adult dogs in the breeders home too. The puppies don't have a chance of survival. Their so little. Piper's organs are already crashing. In fact the dr. said it's the worst case of parvo he has seen in Toledo Ohio the past year.

I was blest to be Piper's mommy for 3 days. I returned him to the breeder last night. Now I pray he has these dogs painlessly euthanized and has the adults tested and not allow them to die an excruciating painful death. I'm worried what he'll do.

The hospital that tested Piper said I had to give them the breeders name, address and phone #. I don't know what is going to be the outcome but I'm sick over this and hope they get the 11 dogs out of the house.

I now have over 20 loads of laundry to do and have to sterilized my couch and throw rugs and everything Piper came in contact with. I can't wait to see the hike in my electric and water bill this month. Everything Piper touched has to be bleached and sterilized.

Prayers appreciated for all these sweet little guys and that the breeder does the right thing. My gut and heart is just aching.

I was soooo excited for this puppy. This world can be sooooo deceitful. He had to know, yes?
