Let’s talk dog seizure safety. Hoping you never need this but having had an epileptic mini dachshund and a few medically sensitive clients, I wanted to share.

They can be scary and usually last longer than a human’s seizure. Best thing to do is cradle the dogs head to keep them from getting hurt and stay calm (talk to, pet, or sing to the dog). Usually the dog can get a little wobbley and out of it before going into a seizure and when coming out of them.

This text means the world to me. We have taught our boys to be gentle and kind to animals from the start. Turner is one of our clients who has had a fear of children from bad experiences. We pet sit a lot for this sweet family and my boys always make sure to squat down so he knows they’re friendly, they sweet talk him and even fight over who gets to give him treats (which usually ends up being double treats for Turner). Teaching compassion for animals and respect is so important. Proud mommy moment.

Henry gets so excited and must have some emotional support item in his mouth. He tried taking a soaking wet towel back inside the house but settled for a shoe.

Archer has really taken a liking to our pets and interacting with them. He thought it was hilarious watching Maple getting the bubbles.

Bandit the baby ferret

Bandit has some puppy and kitty brothers and sisters but wanted his time in the spotlight. Appreciation post for this cute little boy! He had me, Slade and Archer all laughing so hard with his playfulness.

Going out on a limb and guessing that a critter visited this yard last night. Maple was determined to sniff it out.

We have had several new clients this week, one included this baby ferret named Bandit!
