Founded in October 2016, Mabel's Orphaned Angels Rescue (MOAR) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization & no-kill rescue based in Southern Maryland.

While a large number of our rescues are of the feline variety, we are committed to helping animals of all kinds find their perfect forever home. By the end of 2022 we will have found forever homes for more than 400 orphaned angels.

We want to take a moment to kindly remind our community that MOAR is unable to accept stray cats. If you find a stray cat, please contact your local Animal Control agency, as they are the proper authority to assist with lost, abandoned, or injured animals.

Additionally, please know that we are 100% foster-home based. This means we do not have a public shelter or physical facility. Any addresses that may appear online or be shared are private residences and not open to the public. For the safety of our volunteers and their families, please do not show up at any address associated with our rescue.

We deeply appreciate your support and understanding as we continue our mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome cats in need—within the limits of our resources and structure. 💛
