Founded in October 2016, Mabel's Orphaned Angels Rescue (MOAR) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization & no-kill rescue based in Southern Maryland.

While a large number of our rescues are of the feline variety, we are committed to helping animals of all kinds find their perfect forever home. By the end of 2022 we will have found forever homes for more than 400 orphaned angels.

Meet Bramble!
Bramble is a beautiful adult dilute calico with a heart as soft as her fur. This sweet girl adores attention, she’ll happily weave through your legs and politely beg for pets until you give in! Bramble loves her people and thrives on affection.
She’s wonderful with other cats and gentle with kids, making her the perfect addition to a loving home. Her experience with dogs is currently unknown, but she can be dog-tested upon request.

Meet Fluff – Your Future Best Friend!
This handsome, fluffy gentleman is searching for his furever home after a rough start to life. Fluff was found abandoned, severely matted, and covered in old scars — clear signs of a tough life on the streets. He was originally intended for a TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) program, but once we saw the extent of his past injuries and how vulnerable he was, we knew he deserved better.

Now safe and loved, Fluff has blossomed into the sweetest, most affectionate boy. He’s incredibly talkative, always ready for a chat, and enjoys the company of other cats, but he’d be fine as a solo cat too. He does well with the little dogs in his foster home. Did I mention that he loves the kiddos too? He also enjoys being carried around while you’re doing chores.

Fluff is around 2–3 years old, loves lounging in sunny windows, and would thrive with a catio or a safely fenced yard to explore. He’s FIV+, but don’t let that scare you — Fluff is healthy, happy, and can live a full, vibrant life with proper care.

Carlton is the total package: dashing good looks (complete with a dapper tuxedo and an irresistible little mustache), extra toes thanks to his polydactyl paws (more paw for high-fives and head bonks), and a personality as bold as his fashion sense.

This little guy is equal parts cuddlebug and chaos gremlin. Looking for a tag team wrestling partner? Carlton’s your kitten. He’s a belly-rub enthusiast who flops dramatically on his side to ask for attention, and he’ll charge your hand just to bonk you with his head. If you’re not giving him enough love, don’t worry—he’s talkative enough to remind you, and emits the most adorable little chirps.

Zoomies arrive like clockwork in the morning and evening. Midday and night, he can’t get enough love, and will throw himself at you dramatically for pets, purring, and smashing himself against you or into your lap.

When he's not busy being the center of your world, he enjoys long stints at the window as a bird-watching professional and is an undefeated litter box champion.
