If you're looking to attend an agility seminar this weekend, an afternoon spot (2-6 pm) has opened up at the Nicole Davilli seminar on Saturday, Feb. 11. Seminar will be held indoors at Dog Gone Good in Virginia Beach. Cost is $80 for Tails Up Club members and $95 for non-members. Please email [email protected] for questions or if you want to hold your spot. Please read the seminar description below thoroughly.

Session II: 2-6 pm (6 working spots)
All the Things!
Looking for more than just jumps and tunnels? Put your mind to work making the best handling decisions for your team while taking on challenges frequently seen in standard-style courses. You will continue along the path of developing your skills in analyzing sequences and determining the fastest and most efficient lines for your team. You will work to perfect timing of cues and fine- tune the mechanics of commonly used handling skills.
This workshop will include sequencing of jumps, tunnels, contact obstacles (dogwalk excluded) and weaves (6 poles only). Dogs should be 12 months of age or older to participate. Exercises will be made level appropriate for each dog. Contact obstacles and/or weaves can be worked around if needed.

A few working spots remain in Nicole Davilli's Jan. 14 afternoon agility seminar titled Fancy Skills: Forced front cross to a Jaako? German and Japanese Turns? Whiskey Crosses? Most of these are just fancy words for basic cross combinations. Learn the basics of these fancy moves in an exciting agility “world tour,” then see where and how to use them on course!

This session is suitable for Novice level teams and up. Dogs will be sequencing jumps and tunnels and should be 1 year and older.

The seminar is from 2-6 p.m. at Doggone Good, 5224 Blackwater Road in Virginia Beach. Cost is $80 if you are a Tails Up Agility Club member and $95 for nonmembers. Auditing (learning without your dog present) is $15 for members and $20 for nonmembers.

Working spots have already filled for Nicole's morning seminar on tunnel challenges but auditing spots remain at the prices above. You can audit the full day ($30 for members, $35 for nonmembers).

Thanks for spending your Weekend with us! Much Thanks to our judge, Nick Sparks, who brought some challenging and fun courses. Thanks to our chief course builder, Karen Hough, who did a great job of corralling volunteers to move equipment. Thanks Rita and Kim for such a great facility. We are so excited to see all the Photo Booth pictures all over Face Book and glad everyone enjoyed it. Thank You EVERYONE for pitching in! The weather was FABULOUS for being outside in November. Once again we had new exhibitors, new to NADAC, and new to Agility – so Exciting!!

Thanks so much for spending your Weekend with us! The weather was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I feel as though I may have gotten a sun burn, and I don’t usually burn! Thanks to our judge, Bernie Doyle, who brought some very creatively challenging courses! Our chief course builder Becki Umberger did a fabulous job making sure the courses “flowed” nicely. Thanks Rita and Kim for such a great facility. Thanks Emily for coordinating a totally awesome Pot Luck Yappy Lunch with more food than could be eaten! If you didn’t like what you saw, just come back in a little while and there was more different food! THANK YOU SO MUCH to our very loyal exhibitors. You guys work so much and help keep us going! Thank You! It amazes me how we continue to have new exhibitors – so Exciting!! Again, “First Q” and “Debut” Rosettes were handed out! YAY! Thank You everyone for pitching in and keeping our trial moving along. Without you guys, the opportunity to have fun with our pups wouldn’t exist.
