We have raised Golden Retrievers since 1990, and have been breeding them since the mid 90s. Though we have entered some into shows and have owned and bred award winners, and have sold pups to Purina, we don't believe anyone should be paying these outrageous sums of money for a puppy that they want to keep as a family pet. Therefore, our rates are always lower, $1200 ea. depending on the male used
to stud it can go up. We have generally not put breeding restrictions but have been forced to change this due to those who take advantage of our line. The minimum is $1200 for a family pet, but the breeding fee is $600 on top of this cost if you want to breed GRs. You can always buy the pup and pay the fee later, AKC allows us to hold that right. Stud fee for Marcus is $1000 minimum, but rises to the cost of one pup you plan to sell. Therefore, if you sell for $1800 each, then that is the cost to stud. AKC allows us to hold your puppy registrations until the fee is paid. There is a $100 deposit, non refundable, for females, and we only take 5 deposits per litter. Check is cashed at birth and refunded only if fewer than 5 are born. Same applies to males but a deposit is rarely required for a boy, its up to you. Puppies go home starting 6-8 weeks after birth, after seeing our Vet. Your responsibility to pick up. Our female line has been continuous since our first female to breed back in the mid 90s. This is important because the genes for hip dysplasia tend to follow the female line. None of our retrievers over the last 25 years have had dysplasia, and most of ours live to be over 10 years old.
