Hi everyone. Can’t believe I haven’t posted on here in since April 2021!!! Lots of things have been happening. I had to take a step back the past 20 months because of burnout, career shift, and….I HAD A BABY!

Big changes are planned for 2023. Cloud Nine Equestrian will be under a new name, and will potentially offer new services. So stay tuned for a big announcement in Spring 2023. I cannot wait to share the big news.

Meet the instructor:

Welcome to Cloud Nine Equestrian!

We are excited to announce that there are 2 weekly lesson/training spaces available for our program. The best part is, we can come to YOU if you are in the Lake/Geauga County area. The main focus of our program is to use the fundamentals of dressage and implementing it for the Hunter Jumpers and Eventing! We may sneak in a little western riding as well! We also offer training services, where our trainer works with your equine companion on wherever concerns you may have, be it on the ground or under saddle.

A little bit about us!

Our trainer, Lynne, has 23 years of equine experience and has been a teacher and mentor for 4 years. Growing up, Lynne had many interests in the equine world!

Lynne has a background in 4H, the Hunter/Jumper rings, 1st level Dressage, and has dabbled in Western, and is currently getting her feet wet with Western Dressage.

The main focus of our program is to have a safe place where all riders of all ages can develop their skills while forming and maintaining their bond with the horse. Horses are an amazing teacher themselves. We strongly believe that a relationship and 1st class care with the horses will always be the center on our program. We believe in a partnership with them, the horse doesn’t owe us anything. We believe in proper training and education over show ribbons and drama.

Lessons are by appointment only and we are looking forward to meeting you! For best response please PM us or call/text 440-221-6428.

BY LAUREN MAULDIN I’ve spent a long time feeling like I was lesser within the equestrian world. Growing up riding at a small private barn, our focus was fox hunting and horsemanship, not equitation medals and hack classes. I didn’t have anxiety about my junior career, because I had no junior car...

Benji has been very cooperative in allowing a change of routine in his life. He has adjusted well to his new discipline and has been helping Traci gain more confidence. This does not mean he will not be seen in the Hunter/Jumper ring anymore.

Congratulations to Grace and Benji on their 3rd place standing in the Starter Rider-A Division for today’s mini trial at Chagrin Valley farm. You both have worked so hard since the last mini and made a lot of improvements. We are looking forward to Chagrin Valley Farms’ 2021 season.

A wonderful example of how a simple change of equipment can sometimes give you a happier horse and better results. Patch was ridden on a Rutledge rover bit for over 2 years. He held his head high during rides and was very stiff. His owner and I sat down and discussed changing to a softer bit for her horse. We decided to go with a basic tomb thumb snaffle with a curb chain....and this video was the result of the change. Softening of the mouth and looser/freer movement which helped regain the use of his core and hind end. I wish I had a before video to go with this so the difference can be seen. Great ride Ann and Patch!

Linden Thompson’s Haflinger gelding may be a handful, but he’s also taken her to Kentucky to compete against the best in the country at the US Dressage Finals presented by Adequan®. Read more about this duo in the YourDressage exclusive “From Naughty to Nice.” ⤵️

We are still waiting to hear our overall results, but Grace and Benji so far got Third in Dressage and Third in stadium jumping out of 14 entries!!!! Other than working out some kinks in the XC field, I’d say today was a success. These two had an amazing dressage test and one of the cleanest rounds of stadium jumping. These two really proved that they have worked so hard together to get to where they are, and make the perfect team. With a little bit more work and polishing up on the XC field, they will take the October Mini by storm. Denise Roberts thank you for the amazing video! You did a wonderful job as a first time show mom 😊

Wish these two crazy kids luck on their first show and mini trial together. First of many 😃

For only schooling XC a second time, this was one of their top rides ever!! I couldn’t be any more proud of the hard work these two have put in together. Look out for these two at the Chagrin August Mini trial.

A little late posting this...but a big welcome to our new addition, AQHA mare Ellie! She comes to C9E with a background in western pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, Halter, showmanship, and trail. The C9E fam are working together to teach this big beautiful redhead how to jump. Pretty soon there won’t be one thing this mare doesn’t know how to do.

These two did so well together at the cross country field at Bath Pony Club yesterday! Light rain and all. Count down to the Chagrin Mini Trial 20 days.
