This January marks my 6 years as a groomer π₯° its been the best and most challenging 6 years of my life. Wanting to give up many times only to master the very thing that made me want to give up altogether. Meeting goals on breeds, and learning new techniques that were never shown to Me in training! Self teaching on so many things, finding new ways to do this or that. Finding new tools not groomer related to make my life easier in the shop. And after 6 Years I was blessed with the best opportunity to start my own business as a groomer and now all I need to do is finish the main goal of opening my own space π Where I can provide booth spaces for other groomers to live their best careers and NOT get screwed over by making 1/2 their profits and taking home tips. Giving space for even a bather to build their own career because lets face it, not everyone wants to do haircuts, but HEY they love animals and can manage a great bath amd trim some nails! Its not EASY by any means but it's a very satisfying job and one you can do for longevity and that's my favorite part. My dreams have only grown as my career does, and to me thats the point of this thing called life. Not working to live. Enjoying what you do and it loving you back! It creates such a feeling inside that really keeps you going. The simple fact I can pass this along to my daughter is beautiful and she loves watching mommy groom and thinks its funny when I'm doing nail trims π€π€£
These past 6 years have been a blessing while I was rebuilding my life from literal turmoil. π
To the ones who watched me go through the hardest parts of my life while I was learning, thank-you for being so patient and willing to be there with me. Thank you to the ones who are still here and watched me grow exponentially as a person and a groomer.
I could tag you but, you know who you are β€οΈ
Here's to many more years as a groomer, here's to building a whole business of my dreams and goals β¨οΈ
Here's to Solidarity and Harmony π₯°
