I was asked to do a post about abbreviations. So here goes

BP….Beginner Puppy…4-6 months old, can’t yet compete for points in breed but have their own competition within a show.

RWB…reserve winners bitch
WB….winners bitch (receives points toward championship)
RWD….reserve winners dog
WD…..winners dog (receives points)

WB & WD advance into best of breed ring with the specials. A special has earned their championship.

Select dog or bitch (receives grand champion points)
BOS…best of opposite sex….so if a bitch wins then a dog would get BOS and vice versa (receives grand points)
BOB….best of breed (receives points) and advances to groups. In our case Herding Group

G1
G2
G3
G4 are Group 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th

If you win your group you advance to Best in Show. Where all 7 group winners compete.

RBIS…..Reserve Best in Show….2nd best dog there

BIS….Best in Show

BISS…Best in Show Specialty….a specialty is competing against your breed exclusively and showing to breeder judges.

NBISS….is Best in Show Specialty at the breeds National Specialty show

AB is an All Breed show

So for instance Marlow won her breed (BOB) to go to herding group where she was Group 1 (G1) and advanced to Best in Show (BIS) beginner puppy.

I love this so much. She isn’t groomed but she is clean. 😅 We were showing on dirt and she is a BP so the goal was for her to have a good first show experience without a whole lotta pressure. Handled by Elizabeth who is 12 and has WAY more chill than her WaWa.

THE DREAM MANY WILL NOT UNDERSTAND:
My dogs are a personal dream.
One day when I'm very very old and can't walk anymore, this will be in my heart, the trophy of my memories.
Whenever I'm with my dogs, I live, I'm happy, I just think how wonderful they are.
I stopped explaining myself to those who don’t understand and learned to communicate with others who have the same mindset.
I'm meeting some amazing people that I now call friends all over the world thanks to my dogs.
I've spent money I didn't have and gave up a lot of things but all that is not worth even a special moment with my dogs.
They are not just a pet or something I own, they are the missing part of my soul and spirit, they are a part of me.
And when someone tells me "it's just a dog"... Nodding and smiling.
A dog..... only the person who loves him understands.
Wish my friends and all their dogs good karma..
And so the adventure continues . .

So so proud of this baby team!!!! Elizabeth & Waverly💖 E says they are team diamond glitter sparkles 🤣🥰

I should add that Elizabeth was on her own. We had ring times at the exact same time so she had to navigate that alone and with the help of others showing puppies. A very sweet Aussie lady had to tell her to go back because she had made it to BIS❤️

Had a great couple days in Casper, CKC always puts on a great show. Today I will brag on the puppies and little girl. Yesterday Waverly and Elizabeth were BOB G1 in beginner puppy. Today Marlow and E were BIS beginner puppy!!!!! So excited for these baby girls. Both puppies are 5 months old.
