It has been a pleasure having you as neighbors and your words mean so much to us. It is incredibly difficult for us to close after 65 years of business. We will miss you, our community, and our guests and their pets immensely. Thank you for sharing this and for your kindness.

God entrusted Park Pet Shop to my family and this community to better relate, educate, entrust, enable, and grow the animal industry.
To operate for 3 generations and being operational for more than 50 years has been blessing.

As Chicago’s oldest pet store departs, know that you will be missed, all of you, even the annoying ones 🙂
Please hug/kiss your animals for us and continue to shop local independent pet stores for sound experience, advice and quality products.

URGENT: Act NOW to Save the Florida Pet Care Community!
Florida is voting on an ordinance that creates a list of all animals that may be imported into the state. They will create a “white list” which could possibly unintentionally eliminate many great animals that can be family pets.

A viable option that we support, would be a list of prohibited species, which would be a much smaller, manageable and enforceable list than one that attempts to encompass all allowed species.

The proposed rule could possibly shut down the entire responsible pet industry in Florida if they move forward with these proposed rules for Nonnative Fish and Wildlife.

Pet Advocacy Network has prepared a simple way to sign a petition asking to make these suggested changes that will accomplish their goal without creating a huge problem.

Florida will vote May 10-11 so it is urgent and we get as many signatures TODAY as possible. Please pass this email on to all your friends.
