Forgotten Dogs Foundation

Our education and advocacy work seeks to restore a dog’s rightful place as a sacred life worth saving.

- Prevention is one of our most powerful solutions.

We act as the forgotten dog's protector, in our advocacy and efforts to put an end to their mistreatment and through our support of no-kill dog organizations, ensuring that all monies raised are used to save dogs and improve their welfare. Through a rigorous vetting process, we identify and provide support to organizations that work hard to save dogs' lives.

rectly saving and improving the lives of dogs. Our platform raises funds and awareness for highly ethical no-kill organizations with boots on the ground.

- We identify initiatives that can be replicated worldwide to assist no-kill shelters in homing their dogs. We provide these programs at no cost to selected shelters that meet our standard of care.

- We believe that education and compassion have the power to change dogs’ outcomes. We focus on education including pet population control, adoption in place of breeding, ethical animal treatment, and more.

One of the pillars of the Forgotten Dog's Foundation is Compassion. Under this pillar, we wish to establish Pet Pantries within homeless shelters so that no dog goes hungry and no owner has to worry about deciding to feed themselves or their dog. Too many times we as a public see a situation like this. A dog with its owner, on the street, just hoping someone comes along to bless them with whatever they can. We can’t solve the nationwide homeless problem, but we can solve the problem of ensuring the dogs of the homeless are fed and cared for. Through our Pet Pantry program, we are partnering with homeless service organizations to provide food and comfort items for dogs. Don’t let these dogs go hungry, please join our campaign today!

Introducing the SNIP-SNIP Taxi! As part of the FDF Prevention Pillar #1, we will provide funding for and/or purchase a designated FDF branded van equipped to transport dogs from their home to a selected community provider for spaying and neutering. Pet parents facing financial and geographic barriers that prevent them from being able to get their pet to receive this vital service, will be identified and offered the service at no fee to them. We promise to keep you updated on where your donations are making a difference! 🐕 Thank you Vicky Pasenko, Executive Director of @evanstonpets for sending over video from professional obedience training of dogs in their shelter. Vicky introduces us to two wonderful pups. "Cayenne (gray and white pup) came in as a stray. She is about 2 years old and has clearly had several litters of puppies in her young life. Teaching her basic obedience helps keep her mentally sound and makes her more appealing to adopters." "Mink (brindle dog) tipped the scale at about 100 pounds at 9 months old so the landlord decided she was too big and she had to go. Thankfully she found her way to our Custodial Program where we provided 6 weeks of care for free while her owner found a place that would accept her. These training sessions are vital for a young, large breed dog so they will be well-mannered and more likely to be approved by landlords." We are proud to support the Evanston Animal Shelter.
