Still never understood with her being a kane child and how SMALL she is. Kane has always produced mammoth puppies, and about certain she’s the smallest of her litter. Measured in at about 19 inches 🖤

Life’s been a crapshoot, but enjoy Pepper, Atticus, Pivot & Beta enjoying some frisbee. All 4 did so good for their updog comp, Beta rocked her first comp. 🥹

Little Beta fish working on her skills to becoming the best demo doggo!
I will say, I’m incredibly shocked with how Beta’s been maturing. When she was younger, I believed she would be a bit more like Pepper, but man was I wrong!
Beta is a Kane jr to a T. 😳
She’s everything I could have asked for drive, temperament & structure wise.
I’m really excited to watch her grow over the next year & half, hopefully she checks all the boxes to become part of my program. 🖤

6 years old….
I still can’t believe this dog is now 6..
Thank you Nasty for giving me the best 5 years of your life.

This dog has been through hell & back, but I’m happy she stuck at my side.
Back in 2018, I thought I was making a good decision by selling Nasty to a “ great friend” of mine. After being influenced by my ex-boss on homing her ( which major F**K YOU. )
Making the nieve decision ended up putting my own dog at risk.
Couple months after Nasty was with her, she cut off all communication with me, blocked me from seeing updated posts on Nasty, and became a terrible human being. I received a call from my bestfriend & a rescue stating they were about to take my dog into their care due to an abuse case.
My heart dropped.
I haven’t seen an update on Nasty in over 2.5 months, so I didn’t know what I was walking into.
Leaving OH and driving to MI, I was asked to do the walk through for animal control to see the condition of the house + animals.
The minute I pulled into the driveway to start, I knew it was going to be bad.
The house reeked of animal urine/feces, s**t caked on the floor, garbage everywhere, dogs in crates with multiple blankets piled with s**t. Every dog in the house besides 2, were severely underweight, Nasty sadly being one of them. I could go on & on about the condition the dogs & humans were living in, but that’s besides the point.

I exited the house, grabbed my dog, and left.
Nasty had p**s burns all on her sides, loosing hair from being emaciated & weighing in at 21 pounds.
For the people who truly know Nasty, she is a heavier b***d dog, not fat ( even tho it’s easy for her fatten herself up 😆).
I was never able to speak up about this situation due to her “ previous “ owner sending countless amount of threats, she wanted to scare me & at the time she did. But now, I don’t give a s**t.

I swear the more this dog matures, the prettier she gets.
Little Dimmer-Doo will be looking for a new home in the next month.
We’ve been refreshing our on & off leash OB, doing some intowns & overall just working on getting her back into groove.
I will be looking for an active pet home, someone who wants a starter dog into frisbee, but not high end competition.
As much as I love her, she doesn’t fit my programs needs. 🖤

a couple things I’ve learned in the last month.
Take the risk if you aren’t happy doing what you’re doing 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m happy to have the love & support from my friends & family. Since getting back from my trip, it’s been a whirlwind of ups & downs. I lost a beloved pet & quit the job I once loved.
With all the bad there is good, I’m excited to see what the future holds.

I’ve failed at actually introducing this little s**t!
A couple weeks ago we traveled up to MN to pick up “ Karma “ from , it was an awesome opportunity to dip back into my lines that started the program. Archer is her grandfather, who is from my Belle x Taz litter in 17’.
“ Karma “ is now known as Squid , and now is a disc fanatic! I’m super excited to see what we do in the future.
Thank you Lindsay for giving me this opportunity with my little squid.

these sweet little nuggets are going to be 6 weeks this friday 🖤
I can’t believe how fast my time with them is going 🥹
Next week we temperament test & start placements, first vet visits, more puppy parties & soaking up all the cuddles I can give before they go 😭

I have loved all my litters prior, but there’s something special about these guys.

Forever thankful for Nasty being the most tolerant dog ever.
Nasty has been helping my dock diving class learn the fundamentals that comes with this sport. Allowing others to throw for her & even helping some younger dogs build confidence on the dock. 🖤

Excited to introduce.. 7 perfect little babies from Pepper & Kane. 🥺
After much thought, thinking about breeding plans for the year, I decided to pair Kane & Pepper.
I’m anticipating a higher work drive for these puppies, as both parents are on the active side.
Pepper & Kane are both phenomenal dogs, and worked almost 3 years in the hazing industry. The have made many debuts in the sport world, working with other handlers and proving beyond my expectations.
Keeping in mind, not every puppy will have the go go drive.
Pepper is doing so well and happy to back in motherhood!
All 7 puppies are doing very well, completed their first night of ENS ( will be posting videos !), and overall happy with full tummies 🖤

Nasty & I are definitely itching to get back on the dock.
Next week can’t come sooner! We start league with almost the whole crew, and the dock dogs will get to swim.

I will say, raising Maze has been quite interesting. She’s been difficult in many ways, but it’s cool to compare what breed traits she carry’s more… as***le malinois or pushy border collie? 🤣

The last 5 months in 30 seconds…From leaving a state I loved back, the amazing friends I had and my SOs family’s was extremely upsetting. But mentally it was the move that needed to happen.-Growing mentally since being in Michigan, learning new positive habits and decreasing my workload has been helping tremendously. I truly believed I wanted a break in dog training, since starting in IL I’ve had more negatives than positives. Bosses who care more about the $$ than my comfortability level, being thrown human aggressive dogs and given 2 weeks to meet a.b.c and working for a boss who mentally abused their employees.Being able to run my own business, setting my own goals and what clientele i want to reach, has been absolutely refreshing. And I wouldn’t have been able to do it without @themanicpack & @anthonypoett 🖤I’ve always wanted to be a business owner, and while Birchwood Border Collies was a start, I’m super excited for @newbeginnings.dt to be an actual New Beginning for my dogs and I.With Birchwood being mentioned, as of right now there are NO litters planned.The OGs are retired and I want to focus more on having fun with them versus making a business out of it. I feel like I missed out of half of the fun things I could have been doing with them. 💔 plus the border collie community is draining.While we take a break now, there may be personal litters in the future, but mostly breeding for myself. Who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️-The crew has decreased dramatically but with some new faces.Excited for the New Beginnings with the dogs and friends 🖤
