On this chilly day when outdoor adventures are limited, Lily wants to remind every pup parent about the wonders of mental enrichment! A frozen stuffed kong can tire a pup out just as running around can.

Lily’s frozen recipe:
base layer-banana, followed by softened kibble, ground/lightly cooked meat (turkey), more banana, plain Greek yogurt and a couple blueberries to add some pizazz.

*this is just an example. Please ask your vet before introducing any new foods:)

We lost a good one last Sunday. Our dear friend, avid dog park supporter and friend to all, mister Kent passed away on October 9th, 2022 surrounded by his family and loved ones. The dog park won’t feel the same without you, but we know that wherever you are, you are watching over us with your dear Maxine and all the pups!

Our friends at Horner Park Dog Park are having their Halloween Party on October 22nd! And then, the NPDA is hosting the Norwood Park Dog Park Halloween party on October 29th. Why not celebrate Halloween 2 weekends in a row!? 🥰🐶

Thanks to Stay for organizing this awesome fundraiser for the dog park!

Here's the general party schedule:

11am-12pm Registration and Kickoff @ Stay with refreshments, play space and fall photo booth. Registration also comes with a free Raffle ticket. Lots of great items being giving away!

12:00pm-12:30pm Costume Parade from Stay to Burning Bush. Vendor tables will be set up along the way for guests to trick-or-treat!

12:30pm-1:00pm Costume Judging @ Burning Bush. Stay tuned for the five fabulous prize categories.

1:15pm Announcing Costume Contest and Raffle prize winners.

1:30pm Closing Remarks. Guests are welcome to hang out at Burning Bush until 3pm. Horner Park Calendars will also be available for sale at our tent at Burning Bush.

Chicago Challenger Little League

The Challenger Division is a division of Little League for boys and girls with physical and
mental challenges, ages 4 - 18 (or up to age 22 if still enrolled in high school) to enjoy the
game of baseball. In a Challenger game, each player bats and plays the field each inning. No score is kept during Challenger games, but rather the focus is on player interaction and skill development - both physical and interpersonal. That said, we still get competitive with players competing against their best selves.

Dobie puppy for adoption!

Olivia is a beautiful 12-14-week-old female Doberman who came to us when her people lost interest in all that comes along with having a puppy. She is now in an IDR+ foster home and is learning more and more everyday! Just like your typical puppy, she loves to play with toys
