1. "Diego the Unrepentant" ca. 2024.

Diego had a "kitchen expedition" last night. When I let the dogs out of the bed this morning I wondered why they ran for the kitchen. When I got in there, all I found was ripped-open bags of cat greenies and dog supplements. and the dogs were licking crumbs off the floor, while Diego was sitting there by the water dish, washing his paws like a gangsta boss.

I relocated all the treats, etc. to the hall cupboard, then temporarily secured it with rubber bands and a ribbon (since Diego knows how to get in there), then I shut the door to the hall, wedged in a folded-over edge of one of my carrier bags to keep it shut, then put a chair in front of it. This should keep everything secure until I come back in a while to install a sturdier locking mechanism. I let his mom know what happened and she called the vet. He should be fine, but may have some tummy trouble from stuffing his face like that. Silly man!
