Purr N' Ruff Rescue was established on June 10th, 2012 and is based out of Mitchell, South Dakota (Davison County) and is recognized as a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization. Purr N' Ruff Rescue receives animals that have been found within Davison County and will accept Surrenders if there is availability. We also offer our assistance and work with other Communities, Shelters/ Rescues, Humane Societies,

and the Surrounding States. We currently do not have a facility, so we are an all Foster Based Rescue. ALL ANIMALS before being Adopted receive the following....
-- Complete Wellness Check (Veterinarian Certified)
-- Vaccinations
-- Spayed/Neutered
-- Temperment Tested

**WE ARE IN NEED OF FOSTERS**
We receive animals that are looking to be loved and cared for until they find there FUREVER home. Fostering is an awarding gift that everyone should experience. The animals that we receive mostly have been dumped or abandoned, may have been abused, so there are times that we don't have a lot of information regarding them, if any (age, good with kids/dogs/cats any health problems, etc.) A lot is learned in the first 72 hours of coming into the Rescue regarding the animal. When entering Foster Care they will have had there vaccinations and wellness check completed, and if possible spay/neutered. All necessary supplies ( toys, bedding, kennel, food) are provided by the rescue. This means that there is no cost to you and all we ask of you is to offer your unconditional love and home to them until they are Adopted. The Foster Homes are 100% involved with the adoption process. If at anytime we receive an animal that may show or exhibit potentially dangerous behaviors we will not ask for them to be fostered but will find appropriate resources that can assist us in recorrecting their behavior or transferring them to another Rescue that is trained in dealing with their situation. Please meet Yuri. She will be 1 on the 11th. She is kennel trained and for the most part potty trained. She isn't spayed and we're unsure if she is up to date on her shots. She's a good puppy and a little shy. She knows how to do some tricks. She has good recall. We're just unable to keep her. *** MR. MJ READY FOR ADOPTION *** PLEASE SHARE HIM FAR AND WIDE AND LETS HELP HIM FIND HIS FUREVER HOME 🥰🐾 Hi, MJ here. I’m 3 years old, neutered and up to date on all of my vaccines. I am very laid back and get along well with kids and other dogs. I love snuggles. I am super smart and learn new things easily. I love meeting new people, going for rides, playing fetch and tug-of-war. I will do well in any home but my foster mom thinks I would really enjoy a home with kids. God will bring me the right family. In the meantime, I am getting to experience all sorts of new things and meet all sorts of new people and dogs.
