Kitten Season is Here And It’s Brutal!!!!!!

Every single day, multiple times a day, an unspayed female cat is giving birth to kittens on the streets. Some will survive. Some won’t. That’s just the reality.

We need to stop ignoring the problem and start paying attention before she gets pregnant or before he spreads his “seeds.” The cycle won’t break itself. The only way to stop it is through spaying and neutering.

If you have time to make frantic calls trying to find help for a pregnant cat or a litter of newborns, you have time to step in before it gets to that point. Because by the time the kittens arrive, it’s already too late.

Rescues are overwhelmed. Rescues are financially maxed out. We do NOT get free vet care. We do NOT get massive discounts. There are NOT enough homes. We’re drowning. And yet, the calls never stop.

Please stop only wanting to help when there are kittens. Help when there is just a cat. The band-aids have run out. It’s time to stop the suffering at the source.

We've been waiting forever for our adopters, Jen and Jose, to send us a family photo to make this announcement… but life with cats is busy (we get it 😆), so we made our own!

Our amazing sibling duo, Phil & Sasha, were officially adopted! They became permanent residents of their foster home. Their Meowm & Pawp love Halloween so much that they felt the need to perfectly match their existing black-and-orange cat crew. (Yep, they also adopted Wah-Wah & Treat!)

Fostering is always an adventure, especially when your resident bunny becomes the star of the show! One of our adoptable kitties, Minerva, is absolutely obsessed with the bunny in her foster home, watching, following, and clearly trying to be best furrends. Meanwhile, Hermione is convinced the bunny might secretly be their overlord and wants nothing to do with it. 👀

Kitten Season is Here... and It's Already Overwhelming

The frantic calls have already started pouring in, litters of kittens everywhere, and we're once again bracing for the storm.

If you truly want to make a difference, we need you to work with us to get the cats in your community TNR’d. This can’t keep falling solely on us, we simply can’t do it all.

When you spot just one cat, reach out to us right away, not when there’s already an entire litter. We can teach you how to TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) or TNA (Trap-Neuter-Adopt if the cat is friendly or still a kitten).

But here's the key, we need you to help do the work too. It's not enough to just tell us about the cats, we need people willing to step up, take action, and be part of the solution. We’re here to guide you, but we can’t do this alone.

This is a team effort. If we want to stop this endless cycle, we all need to pitch in not just say something, but do something. Together, we can make a real difference, but only if we ALL take responsibility. If you don't, things will get too big, too quick. One of our past projects, we had 16 adults and 23 kittens in just one yard. Thankfully, we were able to take in all the kittens and friendly adults at the time and we TNR'd the feral cats to stop the breeding cycle. We provided cat houses, etc. However, it drained our resources in every single way. So as a reminder, don't just say something, do something, and act fast.

Our little kittens, Priscilla and Presley, are growing up so fast — we can hardly believe it! It feels like just yesterday they were tiny babies, and now they’re officially ready for adoption.

Minerva & Hermione are absolutely glued to their favorite new show, The Great Squirrel Buffet, brought to them by their amazing foster meowm, Elizabeth! These sweet girls are settling in beautifully, gaining confidence, and have even put on a whole pound each (because healing takes love and snacks!).

We are so excited about the progress they’ve made so far, and we’ll continue sharing all their amazing updates! 3. Winning Name Drawn: The lucky winner will be randomly selected and announced on March 17th (St. Patrick’s Day) at 8:00pm!

Do you make special meals for your pets? Persi is on a strict venison diet for his IBD. He gets venison canned cat food and I make him homemade venison baby food to help with his pills. Venison baby food doesn’t exist in stores, so here’s my DIY version! Recipe: I cook ground venison halfway, add water to get those natural juices, then blend it all together to a smooth texture.
