Our “Old Dogs, New Tricks” class introduces the senior set to cognitive and physical challenges to help keep their brains and bodies strong! Here, 13 year old, Edgar, is guided through a challenge course by his mom, Marianne. They are such a great team! Edgar was adopted a year ago by Marianne from Tehama County Animal Shelter. OMG, Charlie, the golden-setter mix is SUCH A FLIRT! And does he ever have the moves! Look at him trying to engage Duchess in some romp and roll. And guess what… Charlie is thirteen - 13! - years old… and still as spunky as a puppy! But this isn’t the only reason Charlie’s a super special dog. He’s a special to US because he was one of our first fosters at our resort when we bought the property way back in 2010, though he wasn’t with us for long because we knew just the person for him (our good friend, Patty). And he’s a special dog to the COMMUNITY because Charlie and Patty are certified as a First Responder Therapy Dog Team. Charlie (with Patty in tow) provide comfort to those on the front lines of emergency care… and goodness knows, they’ve been busy in our area in recent years. That’s quite a resume for this handsome boy! We love you, Charlie!
