Okay friends it’s that time again where we need your help! Mo is SO CLOSE to being able to be put up for adoption. She’s been in foster since she was 5 weeks old. She was spayed last week but they didn’t repair her hernia 😵‍💫 I’ve never had a kitty go in for a spay with a hernia and them not correct it while they’re under. Not the point. Anyways.

Suwannee Valley quoted us $500-800 to repair it which is out of our budget.
We reached out to our friends at Operation Catnip and they said they would charge us $60 for her repair! We’re so beyond appreciative of them.
We, however, have a $390 outstanding balance from when all of the previous kittens got fixed!

So we need to raise $390 to pay off our outstanding bill and the $60 for Mo’s procedure before the 6th. We have some time, thankfully!

Today is Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day…
Remembering some of the amazing lives we lost this year.. They were all loved more than I can put into words. I miss them all every day, even the ones that didn’t love me back. Rescue is not easy.
Sometimes you lose your best friend, multiple times. Sometimes you can be doing everything right and they still just don’t survive. Sometimes they’re outwards healthy then they’re gone the next day. Sometimes their little bodies just can’t handle whatever they have going on. Sometimes they come to us too sick.
But one thing they all get before they leave us, is eternal love. Even if we couldn’t touch them.
I remember them all. Their little faces, their quirks.
These cats are like my children and each loss takes a small part of me with them.
Rest in Paradise my sweetest beans, you are so missed and loved 🌈💛🐾

When It rains it pours!
CatDaddyMobile is down AGAIN for a tire.
Thankfully Walmart had one in stock but it was $140. That’s our only way to/from vet appointments, bringing our fosters their supplies, and emergencies with the animals.
We could really use a hand recouping the cost of the tire, if anyone could spare even $1 towards it it would be a huge help

Moo (b/w) and Mo (tabby) went to SV today
Mo needed her spay incision checked and just an overall wellness exam as she was spayed last week and her best friend who was also spayed passed away unexpectedly over the weekend.
Mo got a clean bill of health aside from a hernia that they didn’t repair during her spay ☹️
So now, we have to fundraise to get her hernia repaired once her spay heals up. SV wants $500-800 but we’re going to reach out to a few other places to see if we can get it done cheaper.

Moo was combo tested today and started her fvrcp vaccine as well. She combo tested negative for felv, fiv, and hw! That’s great news. Now she just has to hit weight then she can be spayed! Yay!

We do have an outstanding bill at SV now, which we could use some help with.

Crush is out of his baby food! He’s not eating hard food anymore that I’ve seen and he still refuses any wet food I’ve tried 🙃 he wanted me to ask if anyone could send him a case or two?

FOSTERING. SAVES. LIVES!
We got a message about this little tyke who seemed to be dumped in Trenton today at someone’s job. Being that I’m an hour+ away now, and I also have no space because I took Crush and Sprite, I couldn’t personally take this baby in.

So I reached out to our AMAZING foster in Chiefland who has helped prepare almost all the kittens this year for their forever homes to see if she would be willing to take on one more.
She said yes! So now we’re welcoming Moo to LKCI tonight. She will start her vaccines and be combo tested this week and once she’s a little bigger she will be spayed! She’s a real cutie!

Meena is here asking why no one has applied to adopt her yet? She’s literally the best little cat.
She weighs about 4lbs and is estimated to be 1-1.5 years old.
She does okay with other cats and would thrive in a home with 1-2 others or where she can be the queen bee.
She didn’t seem to mind dogs too much, but a slow and smart introduction is always key.
She has no tail which is absolutely adorable.
She does not have any litter box issues that come with being a Manx either!
She loves to snuggle in bed and be held.
She’ll do anything for some good love and affection.
She’s playful and will play with string toys if you play with her.
Overall she is a wonderful cat and any family will be lucky to have her!

Luna is a gorgeous Torbie who has been here for over 3 years. Yes. 3 whole years. It will be four years in January. She has had one whole adoption application in that time. One.
Obviously it didn’t work out because she’s still here searching for the perfect family to open up their hearts to her. She is 3 years old and will be 4 on Halloween. She is very outgoing and truly a great cat! She loves to play with toys and also loves attention. She is pretty bomb proof and does well with children and other cats. She does have some torti-tude in her and will let other cats know when she’s done with their company. She hasn’t been around dogs but with a slow and smart introduction I don’t foresee them being an issue especially if they’re laid back.
Luna loves to eat and you can become her new best friend easily by giving her treats.
She really is a wonderful cat.

Another tire on the CatDaddyMobile popped 😭
Working to get a new one now. This really blows.
That’s our only rescue vehicle to get cats to/from apts, to TSC to get the dogs food and pine pellets, etc.
please pray for Alex as he’s stuck on the side of the road currently an hour away from home. Hopefully we can get a tire today

CatDaddyMobile is mobile again! Walmart had a tire thankfully. Alex is on his way home 3hrs later 😅

Guess who got caught munching down some HARD FOOD today?!? Little Crush!!! He was going to TOWN on it too. Not just a lil he was eating it UP!
He then proceeded to eat a whole container of baby food that he bullied Sprite off of.
I decided to weigh him because he looks like he’s filling out a bit and he’s 1.86lb today!
He was 1.5 yesterday! Poops are still super wet but I think with time they’ll get better. I may have Alex grab a proviable pack for him from SV today so I can give him the paste. We will be discontinuing his iron and nutrical as he’s obviously feeling better now! I’m not sure if we’re fully out of the woods, we’re going to continue monitoring closely but I think we’re on the right path!

Sprite is sad that she hasn’t been posted individually yet so here she is in her adorable little getup. Sprite weighed 1.3lb on intake and is now 1lb10oz as of today! She has solid poops and tons of energy. She loves to scream at us and be held!

My dad panicked and grabbed me thinking he couldn’t get down (he’s a tripod)
I go in, pull him down, and he climbs his little butt right back up and started screaming at me like
“Why would you take me down?!”
