Ornament is quite possibly the cutest, googly-eyed Beagle we've ever laid eyes on, all puns intended. This 5-year-old, 30 lb lady came in as a stray and is now looking for her new forever home. ‘Twas the day after Christmas … and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a that squeaky toy mouse, too many treats were had by all, we loved opening gifts we all had a ball♥️🐾

Meet our wonderful - Sejanus!

Sejanus came in with his mom and siblings when they were newborns. He was adopted and recently returned while his family was going through a divorce. He has color dilution alopecia and spent time in foster care while we worked up his skin issues. He takes daily medication to help with dry, flaky skin, but he will always have thin, patchy hair that just adds to his charm! His new family should be willing and able to continue care with their regular veterinarian to monitor this. Sejanus is an ornery, playful puppy who is always looking for something to do! He does well with other dogs, cats, and kids.

If you are interested in meeting Sejanus, an adoption application can be submitted at www.fairhumane.org. His adoption fee is $175.

As temperatures decrease we want to remind folks that some animals can not be let back outside. ❄

🦇 Bats are a great example of animals that need to be brought to the wildlife center if found outside of a roost.

BUT! You must do this safely:
🦇 Bats can carry rabies.
🦇 They can bite through gloves.
🦇 For the safety of yourself and the bat, do NOT handle or pick up.

What to do:
🦇 Put on protective gloves and slowly place the container over the stationary bat.
🦇 Slide lid, cardboard or magazine under bat, turn over and seal the container tightly. Avoid touching the bat directly if at all possible, even with gloves on.
🦇 Securely seal container opening. Use tape or rubber bands, if needed.

Studies show that a weighted blanket helps create grounding to help some people with calming anxiety and sleep.

I have always preferred a dog or a cat. They’re often trying to help with those same issues.

Notice when your pets need your touch or request to cuddle. Their presence is a gift.♥️🐾
