Looking to improve your dog’s manners and obedience? This 4 week Basic Obedience Group Class is perfect for dogs 2 months and older who need a solid foundation in essential commands and leash skills.

✔️ Sit, Stay, Down, and Come
✔️ Loose Leash Walking
✔️ Focus and Engagement
✔️ Polite Greetings and Impulse Control
This class is great for building confidence, strengthening your bond, and creating a well-mannered companion. Plus, it’s a fun and structured way to train alongside other dogs!

📍 Location: Bear Paw Vet in Havre (room above the large animal building)

💉Dogs must be up to date on shots before the class and copies of records need to be present at the first class (Bordetella, distemper, parvo, and rabies)

Training your dog in a new place with new distractions can be challenging, but also rewarding!!🏆
Start by practicing basic commands in a quiet area, then gradually introduce more distractions. Use high value treats and plenty of patience.🐾
When training your dog, it’s also important to reward them for looking at you. This helps build a strong connection and reinforces good behavior. Use treats or praise to make looking at you a positive experience for your pup. Consistency and patience are key, so keep practicing and rewarding their attention!

Tilly is currently working on learning how to politely say hi to people, walk on a leash and how to socialize in different settings. But it's not just social skills that Tilly is mastering. She is also working on her obedience training, with a focus on important commands such as 'down', 'stay' and 'wait'. ✋🏼☝🏼
Tilly's owners have been amazed by how quickly she picks up on these commands and how well she responds to them. She is a smart dog who loves to please her owners, making her a joy to train!🤩
