OKC's campervan builders Dirt Road Campers' newest adventure brings your dog out of the boredom of traditional daycare settings with Astroturf and small enclosures and lets them romp, dig, run and swim on their 2 acre country land. Dirt Road Dogs was created to allow for more nature focused fun and allow your dogs to fulfill their biological drives in a safe way with competent, dog knowledgeable s

taff present to facilitate safe play and happy pups. We are Juliana and Alex and we run Dirt Road Campers, building and selling custom campervans for every adventure. We, along with our three dogs - Sadie, Willow and Raven have cultivated a fun, exciting life dedicated to making awesome memories centering our pack of pups. We have traveled across the country, backpacked through Utah, swam in the ocean and paddle boarded in every body of water available with our pups. But we know sometimes you can't take them along and when that happens we hope to provide a safe and exciting place for them. A place we, self-identified crazy dog lovers, would feel comfortable leaving our best friends. Our vision is to open a large multi acre dog boarding and daycare facility focused on daily pack walks, swimming in ponds, focused play groups and generally letting dogs interact and run through nature in enclosed, safe ways. While we take steps to build that one of a kind facility for the OKC metro area come tour our mini-scale version we have on our property, meet the girls and see if we are the right home away from home for your dog. We can't wait to meet you!

Another successful Enrichment Day in the books!!! Our campers LOVED the obstacle course and the confidence building for our nervous dogs was tremendous. It was so fun getting to watch them sniff and snuff their way around finding all the yummy treats we hid for them. We rounded up a fun afternoon using the lure course which is always a huge hit and makes for tired & sleepy puppies at the end of the day. We hold Enrichment Days once a month and it's a fabulous way to give your dog a fun day of unique activities they don't get to do normally. Our next Enrichment Day is 1/15. Sign up early! Slots fill up quick!

We are looking for a Christmas miracle for our sweet coyote girl Winnie. She needs to get out of boarding and into a home. She does not do well being crated for extended periods of time and she is miserable 💔 Winnie was placed with a temporary foster after the destruction in November but Winnie's prey drive made it difficult for her to peacefully co-exist with her foster kitty siblings.

We are looking for a Foster or potential Foster-to-Adopt situation so we can get her out of the kennels and into a more permanent home.

If you have been following her story you know she is a special case. We do not know her history (socially or medically) and whether she is fixed or intact is still a mystery. We have done multiple tests without clear answers and are under orders from her vet to observe her for the next 2-3 months to see if she comes into heat. Her adoption fee is a refundable $250 if she does not come into heat. Her adoption also comes with free virtual lessons for 1 year. If she does come into heat we will cover all medical costs for her spay. She is UTD on vaccines, microchipped and ready for placement.

Winnie is the absolute sweetest girl. She loves with her whole heart. She likes to hold hands with you while staring into your soul with love. She is very dog friendly and walks nicely on a long-leash. She sleeps in her crate but prefers to snuggle in bed. She will fuss for a few minutes when crated before you leave but does not try to escape and settles down nicely. She would do best with someone who either has a dog door, WFH or job allows them to check in halfway through the day. She would not do best in a home where she is crated during an average 9-5 workday. She likes to (non-aggressively) pounce on kitties and give chase when they run so a kitty free home would be ideal. .

We have a BUNCH of new activities and events planned for the new year we can't wait to tell you all about. First up is our new Train & Play days that kickoff January 6th!!

This new service is perfect to help your dog continue their training, learn new skills, build engagement while still getting daily hikes and structured play with our trained staff. Beginner level dogs will work on entry level tricks such as Auto-Sit, Down, Paw, Touch, Drop It, Place and more while our advanced dogs will take their training further each lesson adding in distractions while perfecting their heel, place or learn advanced tricks like Weave, Sit Pretty, Spin and more. Each day will be a new lesson and will be self paced at your dogs speed and learning level.

These days are perfect to add on to your weekly training goals or get your dog started on a new path. Train & Play days will be every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month and will be in replace of standard daycare those days. Sign up in PetExec in daycare under Training Daycare to get on the list. Space is limited.

Price is $45/dog: For Board & Train graduates. $55/dog: For all other dogs. Exit Bath and van service add-ons available at request.

Last night was AMAZING!! Thank you thank you thank you to everyone who showed up and brought their competitive spirit and cute dogs! It was great seeing so many DRD fam in one place. Thank you again to our friends at Bar K for hosting us and all our amazing vendors who donated services and products. We had a blast and hope you all did too!

While Alex & Jules are down with the flu this weekend the DRD girls are feeling thankful for our pals at Ms. Kim’s Barkery & Boutique for their treats to keep them occupied when we are needing more R&R than normal. These active girls are used to hiking / running 3+ miles a day rain or shine so they are tapping into their training this weekend to shut their busy brains off and let Mom and Dad recover. Ms. Kim's is an awesome local business here in Choctaw that provides all natural dog treats sourced straight from local farmers in our area! Double win! Our girls are big fans of the duck heads, chicken feet, beef tracheas and beef lung. You will have an opportunity to win your very own Barkcuterie Board during next week's BINGO fundraiser at Bark-K on the 7th plus Ms. Kim herself will be there making Barkcuterie boards for purchase all evening with part of the proceeds going to the DRD recovery project.
