His momma rides horses so it’s imperative he is well versed and not reactive around horses and other animals. Keeping a dog calm around other animals isn’t something people usually think about when training. Working around other dogs, yes but teaching a dog to be well behaved around a lot of different prey animals keeps them well rounded
Dogs usually have an audience when they are working on off leash skills 😂 the horses like to watch the dogs during their training which I always find hilarious because they have to go out of there way to walk up to the training area to watch 😂

Also y’all don’t do these without someone whose quick on their feet, and a dog that doesn’t already have a solid down stay. Never stay to work on stay alone when your dog is unpredictable or if theirs cars even in a neighborhood
If you have any tension in the leash your dog doesn’t have a proper heel.
Over the years I’ve been called out many times for just some brush up obedience and the amount of times someone will tell me their dog walks beautifully on a leash and I see their arm straining makes me cringe honestly.
Obi has a perfect heel in this video.
