Who's ready for some FastCAT?!

Ben is my good boy (except when he steals ALL THE TREATS *looks at Ben*). He was at the Bald Eagle Kennel Club's agility trial too and had 4 great runs.

For those that don't know Ben's FastCAT story...While Lea has been my FastCAT maniac ever since she first got to do it, I never even tried Ben at it. He was afraid of plastic bags when he was younger and then I took him to a lure coursing fun run where he (a) ran off to p*e on things and (b) decided he preferred chasing his sister around the entire course while SHE chased the plastic bag.

And then we went to an event a long distance away to meet up with Lea's breeder. So I entered Ben on a lark. I never expected him to do it but he did. Slowly (14 seconds). He was 10ish at the time. I was just happy he did it and there would be pictures.

The photographer lost the photos. All of them. I was heartbroken.

So I decided to enter him in another one to try to get photos, hoping he might do it again. Well, he did. Only better. He ran it in 10 seconds and was excited and pulling on the leash.

Now he's even faster, regularly running between 9.2 and 9.7 seconds. He barks and pulls and can't wait to chase the lure each time.

He's 12ish at this point and still loves the game. He is two runs from his DCAT and is loving every minute of it. I hope he'll still be running in October when I finally have a chance to run him for that DCAT.

This coming weekend you'll see me out in the Buffalo area for the Western Lakes Training Club's awesome FastCAT trial in Dunkirk, NY Who am I going to see there? I'm so excited to see everyone!

And if you didn't sign up yet to go, there's still room for day of show entries! Reach out to the event secretary to make sure there's room before coming but as of today there is still some room.

The uploading process went faster than I expected and the photos from the Ithaca Dog Training Club's CPE trial are now live on the site!

Again a HUGE thank you to the IDTC crew for such a well-run trial. You make my job a true joy!

A couple things to note:

1. Event prices are linked on the website. If you have questions, feel free to reach out! Note that I offer discounts for multiple dogs (two and three are listed on the pricing, reach out for more!) and also offer fully post-processed photos for a higher fee. I also offer discounts for photos of a dog who achieved their championship title (C-ATCH or beyond) All of that info is on the event pricing page.

2. If you find other dogs in your folder, please reach out and let me know! I have to manually move them all into their folders and mistakes happen.

UPDATE! I'm done editing and sorting all of day 2, so the weekend's photos are DONE!

Up next: uploading and organizing them on the website. I'm starting that process now so I'm hoping they may be up later tonight. Keep an eye out!

A little sneak p*ek of Sunday's fun!

I want to give a MASSIVE shout out to the amazing folks at the Ithaca Dog Training Club CPE trial this past weekend. They're always amazing but this time they really knocked it out of the park, as did the awesome judge, Mike Conroy. The trial was not massive but neither was it small, but they kept things going so fast and smoothly that we were out of there by 3pm both days! Everyone had fun, lots of smiles, lots of successes and lots of happiness with how their dogs ran even when things went south. Thanks for all the fun and for having me down as always!

I am all done editing and sorting the photos from day 1. I'm about 1/4 of the way through completing the edits on day 2's photos. I suspect photos will be up no later than Wednesday!

Tomorrow I pivot back to agility! I head out first thing to Paws for Thought Farm to shoot the Ithaca Dog Training Club's CPE trial. I LOVE shooting there and I love shooting for the Ithaca folks. They're all such great people. I hope to see everyone there!

I'm so sorry for the delay. My vacation put a bit of a pause to getting things done, so I truly appreciate everyone's patience.

A few things to note:

1. Event prices are linked on the website. If you have questions, feel free to reach out! Note that I offer discounts for multiple dogs (two and three are listed on the pricing, reach out for more!) and also offer fully post-processed photos for a higher fee. I also offer discounts for photos of a dog who achieved their championship title (FCAT or beyond) All of that info is on the event pricing page.

2. If you find other dogs in our folder, please reach out and let me know! I have to manually move them all into their folders and mistakes happen.

3. There were two Fun Runs on Saturday where I didn't get the dog's name. So if you don't find your dog's name listed, check the Saturday fun runs folder. If you let me know your dog's name, I'll happily move them into a folder with their proper name!

An update on the photos from the Bald Eagle FastCAT trial. I'm most of the way through day 2's photos! I'm waiting for some info from the trial secretary so I can properly sort all the photos. I leave for a very short vacation tomorrow but I'll have my computer and some down time so I hope to get through the rest of day 2's photos and once I get the info I need, sorting should be go quickly!

PHOTO UPDATE! I'm all done editing the photos for Saturday. I still need to organize them, but the editing part is done on them. I'm so excited to share these all with you. It was such a gorgeous place to shoot and I'm thrilled with the photos. I hope you will be too!
