A couple updates as we creep closer to the end of 2025!

1. You will notice on the website that photos from 2022, 2023, and a few galleries from 2024 are now off the site. THEY ARE NOT GONE. Zenfolio has started archiving anthing over than about 14 months and it appears they have finally archived mine. All our photos are safe. They're archived on Zenfolio where I can access them and they're also all backed up. If you need me to dig up older photos that are off the site, reach out!

2. I have been searching for a way to simplify ordering all photos of our dog(s) from a trial and I think I have finally found it! The last method was somewhat clumsy, so I think this may help a bit more. See info here: https://www.thespottedtongue.com/all-photos

One more trial coming up (some dryland mushing in PA) and then it's a wrap on 2025 trials for the year!

Sometimes at a trial you photograph a dog just because YOU want to photograph them. Rogue the Purple Poodle was one such dog. How fun is this?

A few things to note:
1. You can find all event pricing here: https://www.thespottedtongue.com/event-pricing

2. If you want to purchase all photos of your dog, the method has changed. You can find that info on the event pricing page. Every purchase of all of the large size photos ($125) now comes with a free collage!

3. All of the photos are lightly edited. But more can be done! If you want a fully post-processed photos, see the info on the event pricing page!

4. If you got a C-ATCH, C-ATE, or similar title, reach out before purchasing. I offer discounts for those big achievements!

GUESS WHAT??? All the photos are now edited and sorted into their folders. I'm now beginning the upload process. If it goes quickly, things may be live in a few hours. But I do have class with my own dog this evening so if it's not up by 5:30pm it may be up later tonight or tomorrrow morning.

Thank you again to the awesome folks at Premier Dog Sports for having me out to photograph their October CPE Trial. Such an amazing group of people and I'm always in awe of how amazing the facility is. If you haven't trialed there, do it!

There were a lot of fun courses and loved the wall jump! Such pretty colors!

Friday's photos are all edited and sorted. I am about 2/3 of the way through getting Saturday's photos done and maybe about 1/4 of the way through Sunday's photos. I'm so excited to share them all with you!

Coming up NEXT!

I'm off to the Cynosport World Games this Wednesday as part of the Great Dane Photos team and I'm so excited to get to see them from behind my lens again.

Lea is my absolute best girl. She achieved her FCAT title in June and is now working her way towards her FCAT2 (hopefully next year!). She fell in love with the game when a friend with sighthounds said "you should come try out some lure coursing for fun!" We had recently tried dock diving and Lea did not take to it at all. I didn't expect her to be an absolute maniac for lure sports!

She is my screamer who you can always hear down at the end of the catch pen. She has set off my husband's Apple Watch for noise (103dB!). I love watching her run. She reguarly runs in the 8.2 to 8.4 second range. She once got under 8 seconds and that was some pretty impressive speed for her. She's now 8 1/2 but still loves the game!

As always, I can't resist sharing some photos of my best dogs. Ben is a 12ish year old mixed breed (mostly hound and spitz breeds) who found a love of FastCAT sheerly by accident in 2023 when I entered him on a lark when we were at a trial 5 hours from home. He ran it in 14 seconds then. After the photos were lost from that morning, I entered him at another trial just to get some of him. Only for him to run it in 10 seconds and really start to get into it. I entered him the following year and he started regularly running in the 9.5 to 9.7 second range (with a top speed of 9.2 seconds). He got his BCAT last year and this year he got his DCAT! I am so proud of this boy and love seeing his happy face.

And yes, he basically runs the whole time with his mouth wide open. He is the happiest of happy boys and just loves to play the game!
