🎉Join us on Tuesday, Sept 10th, from 10 AM to 1 PM for a drive-through pet food pantry in Cicero! 🐱🐶 We’ll have cat and dog food available. We’re thrilled to partner with Rescue Pack, Greater Good Charities, and Cook County Sheriff's Office "Tails of Redemption" to make this event possible.

Another two dogs dumped tonight. Mama & her pup were found by Cicero's Public Works department tied to fencing on Laramie outside the shelter. We are grateful this team saw them but upset that the community continues to do this; Cats left in carriers, kittens in boxes, dogs thrown over the dog park fences or tied up, even thrown into the back of our animal control vans! It's unfair to the animals and to our staff. We can only take in so many animals at a time because we only have so many cages in the building and these acts are extremely inappropriate. These two are luckily safe now and we hope to find a rescue partner to help mend the medical this puppy greatly needs.

If you've considered adopting a dog or cat, now might be the perfect time as there is so many in need of homes at our shelter and all the shelters.
