Our adoptable duo, Simba and Nyla got the best treat ever this past weekend. They went home with our volunteer Jaime for a much needed break away from the shelter. Both pups are around 7 years old and we would love for them to find their forever home together. To help make that happen, their adoption fees have been so graciously sponsored. Simba & Nyla's weekend getaway 🤩🥹💗

As expected, these two were an absolute dream. Simba was his happy, goofy self, ready for all the snuggling and romping in the snow. Nyla wanted nothing to do with the cold and I had to drag her out of bed for potty breaks. They both thoroughly enjoyed all the soft surfaces and cozy blankets. When left alone, they were curled up on the bed and asleep within minutes of me walking out. No stress, no mischief, no nothin. Just alllll the naps.

I have no doubt Simba & Nyla would quickly and easily settle right into home life if given the opportunity. They are simple folk who don't ask much at all, and are more than ready to land a place to retire. Dogs like these are hidden gems. I missed them the minute they were gone.💖

🕒 41 Days Until Oscar’s One-Year Shelter Anniversary 🕒

In just 41 days, our beloved Oscar will have spent an entire year in the shelter. This sweet, spunky boy is around 2 years old and has so much love to give. He brings joy to our team with his playful personality, his love for car rides, and his adventures with our dedicated volunteers.

Oscar is not just a pet, he’s a companion who knows how to sit happily on command, struts his stuff on walks, and even does the adorable “sploot.” He is dog-friendly and ready to bond with a loving family.

It breaks our hearts to think of him reaching that one-year mark. Oscar deserves a real home where he can thrive, feel safe, and prove just how good of a boy he really is.

Russ is hoping to find a forever family who will call him a perfect dog. This handsome boy is around 3-4 years old and has so much love to give. Russ is an easy going boy who loves to snuggle up with his blanket. (He loves to suckle on them too) He enjoys his walks and play time with his volunteer friends and is hoping he can share those moments with a forever family. Our adoptable boy Oscar had a fun New Years Eve outing with our volunteer, Caitlin. Here is what Caitlin had to say about their time together… “Took Oscar for a walk away from the shelter to end 2024. He is such a great sniffer and behaves so well on outings. He loves to explore, he checks in by himself, always comes over for extra pets, and doesn’t bark at things. 2 kids walked over to play basketball close to us and he watched them walk over/start playing. Very interested to see what they were doing, but no barking! Love this little ham!! He is so adventurous and so lovey! He does great on a longer leash and checking in, loves his old fashioned donuts from Dunkin, and will never say no to sniff anything new. 2025 has to be your year buddy 🩵🐾” ⭐️ Oscar is around 2 years old and dog friendly. Oscar came to us around 10 months ago and we are hoping he can finally find his forever home before he hits his one year mark of living in a shelter. 2024 Year in Review
2024 Year in Review

As we get ready to say goodbye to 2024, let’s take a look back at how the year treated our shelter and our pups. Between the adoptions, events, support from the community and new collaborations, we have been very lucky! There will always be ups and downs, but we continue to move forward and do what we are here to do. A big THANK YOU goes out to our staff and volunteers for always being there for the dogs. Here’s to a successful 2025!
