Ok let’s talk dog spaces at the new house 😏🤓

The whole finished basement and laundry room will be the new dog room! Check out the plan in the photos!

I plan to put some turf in the 2 car garage for an indoor training space for winter and mud seasons!

A dock will be built at the pool for dock diving training!

And outdoor runs for the girls to enjoy being in while I’m away at work will be built in the little forest canopy part of the yard 🌳👌

Kefi’s new HOME 🏡

So let’s see this house right?? 🤓

This is a 4 bedroom, 3 bath house with a fully finished basement and 2 car garage! There is an 18 x 33ft in ground pool, hot tub, and huge privacy fenced lot.

We adore the unique charm and natural light in the house. The previous owners made so many modern updates all with the mid century modern vibe 👌 There is gorgeous character and details sprinkled all throughout the home 😍

We LOVE all the tree coverage and nature on the lot! 🌲 The whole lot is fully privacy fenced, which was huge for me! I’m so excited to give my girls a quiet and protected place to call home. 😌 We are SO excited about the pool for both us, our friends, and our girls! We plan to host lots of pool parties and build a dock for dock diving work with the girls!

It still hasn’t sunk in that this is now ours 😌 When we pull up to the house it feels like we are pulling up to a private cabin getaway nestled in a state park. I can’t believe this getaway….is now Kefi’s HOME 🥹

In other happy news 🤓

I received testing results back tonight for Symphony and Sawyer.

Clear/Normal PRA-PRA 6 for Symphony and Sawyer. This also makes Brandi Clear/Normal by parentage 👌

Lyric is also Clear/Normal by parentage. Both her parents, Maven and Memphis, have tested clear!

Kefi is clear all around 🙏👏

Kefi is moving!! Thankfully just down the road though 😉

Cincinnati will always be home to us. We were blessed to be able to purchase a much bigger and better opportunity for our family and our girls 🐾 Thankfully it is just down the road! So our world and our girl’s world still remains the same. We will still be able to use all the same training facilities, clubs, and fields! I have built such a wonderful dog community here and never plan to leave. Community is important in all walks of life, but especially in dogs.

To new adventurers in the same world 🙏🤓

Happy 3rd birthday to my Suri girl 🦋🩵

She is the dog I didn’t expect. The dog that challenged and changed me. The dog that pushed me to open up my world.

I got into disc and found the disc community because of her. Which then had a ripple effect because it led me pull my sister and Brandi into disc. Which then led to deepening my relationship and friendship with my sister. I got into dog sports because of her. I met so many friends because of her. I met because of her. I am daily becoming a better dog trainer, handler, and competitor because of her.

I owe so much to this dog and can’t imagine life without her. Even though, there is a little crazy in her 😏👌😂

My sister, Grace Norman, went over seas to race 2 races! First stop was the World Cup Triathlon in Portugal. Then she headed over to race the World Championship Triathlon in Spain.

She won them both …..😏

These two races were stacked full of competition as all of her top competitors/rivals from around the world were in attendance. The courses were diverse and challenging in different ways. One course had nearly an 800 meter transition run from the Mediterranean Sea, where they did the swim portion, up into the main transition. Due to Grace missing a leg, this puts her at a severe disadvantage compared to the arm amputee athletes who can come up out of the water running.

Grace showed her true strength as a competitor as she overcame challenges thrown at her by the course layout and her body. Grace contracted Ecoli and had to fight this off while still prepping her body to race.

Despite all, ……unshakable, undefeated 💪🇺🇸

This her FIFTH World Championship Triathlon Title …….and counting 😏

Ok, a few days late, but here is my victory of the season. My crowning accomplishment in dog training, my finest hour. Ok I’ll stop being dramatic, but you get the point.

Anyone who has watched Suri play disc is always amazed. She is a tiny little thing, merely 27 lbs. And she is just packed full of drive for the game. She is speedy, agile, has amazing eye, and has a hard bite on the disc. Her games are nearly flawless as she rarely misses any catches. She even often manages to catch many uncachable throws when under pressure. She is just a solid solid disc dog.

However, her fatal flaw is also very easily seen by any who watch her haha.

Suri has never had a return, never had a handoff, never had an ‘out’. It was more like a game of chase and wrestle at each exchange. Costing us lots of time that we could have spent getting more catches. I knew it was the bottleneck in our success in the game.

After much encouragement and tips from my dog bestie , years of work, months of frustration, and some tears, ……after 3 years, Suri now has an out and a seamless 2 disc exchange.

I’m so happy I could cry. Ok I have cried haha.

I don’t honestly care if Suri accomplishes anything else in her lifetime. Haha, this was her crowning achievement. 😂

This past Saturday was the first time we debuted this exchange in competition and she did it perfectly every round!!! 👏👌 This led her to score a personal best in every single game she played. 💪 it’s amazing how many more points you can score when half the round isn’t spent fighting over a disc 😏😂

I am so proud of her 🦋

How blessed I am to share this life, this breed, and this sport with you.

I can never tell you how blessed I am to have a best friend to do dog sports with. 😌 Dogs and disc have brought our relationship from sisters to best friends 😌 and I am so thankful for it! Nothing makes me happier than watching you and Brandi together as a team 😌 Watching you two together makes my heart swell, my breathing slow, and I just know I am watching a memory being made 😌🥹

I love you! To many more years….. and many more dogs 😉

Suri PB in 4 Way Play
Suri 10 point PB in Frizgility!!! {from 100 to 110}
Wyn 32 point PB in Frizgility!!!! {from 118 to 150} and🥈place

150 points scored in Frizgility. This is a score I could only dream of at the beginning of the season. Wyn has made massive strides in this game and is so FUN to train and run! I expected Wyn to do well today in this game. But a 32 point improvement in the game is unimaginable 🤯 and a 2nd place finish at a Catch ‘Em’ All Canines Event is just the cherry on top 🍒 My first podium finish at this Club!

While Wyn’s victory is the most tangible win of the day, there was actually a much much larger and more significant victory of the day. 😏 I will post about this victory tomorrow 🤓

When I dropped Lyric off at Brittany’s she hadn’t officially swam yet. She would play on banks, but had yet to set sail as a swimmer! Well, we now have a swimmer 🤓👏
