HUGE SHOUT OUT TO THE CGD 3rd GRADERS IN MRS. SMITH, MRS. VOIGHTS, & MR. LIENEMANN CLASSES! ❤️❤️❤️

Every year for numerous years now, Marcia Burt has been invited to do an informational program about the Humane Society of Wright County for the third graders- and every year the students have graciously donated needed items to the HSWC!

Bags and bags of donated dog food, cat food and kitty litter filled the two red wagons as the students transported all these numerous (and much needed) items into the back of Marcia's car. Her car was FULL...and so were the hearts of all those who serve on the HSWC board, along with all the volunteers who help out with the care of our adoptable dogs & cats! 🐕🐈‍⬛️

Your annual support is very much appreciated, 3rd graders! We are so appreciative of your donations; as well as your community service towards animals!

Deb Lukes, representing the Wright County Courthouse, recently presented Marcia Burt (Treasurer of the Humane Society of Wright County) with a donation of $54.00. The money was raised during the annual Ugly Sweater Contest held in December among courthouse employees. The public was invited to join staff in voting for their favorite ugly sweater. The winner, Kim Demory, was presented with a wooden ugly sweater created by Adam Clemons. Adoptable pet of the week: "Bingo"

Can you believe that he's been with us in the shelter for almost 2 years?!?!

Bingo is great with other dogs, walks well on a leash, and is super friendly.

You might have seen him in the Wright County Fair Parade, at our annual Lap the Lake fundraiser, or Dogs n Donuts events. :)

He is a powerful dog, ~3 years old so will need a family with a space to run. He settles down quickly once he gets his zoomies out.

This boxer mix male is neutered, vaccinated, and ready for his forever family!

Bingo and other gmaes & activities are planned to benefit the animals cared for at our shelter in Eagle Grove.

Spotlight adoptable pet of the week: "Molly"

This gorgeous girl is full of love and lookimg for her forever home!

This adult female is spayed, vaccinated, and ready for adoption!

- Loves to fetch a ball. This is her favorite

- Roughly 90 lbs of love

- Selective with her dog friends, so if you have a dog, testing them out in the play yard is recommended

- Loves every human we have seen her meet.

She came in... with her "sister from another mister", an unrelated friend and we may have switched their names.... she is now affectionately known as Molly :)

Super loveable hound dog "Kylie" is our spotlight adoptable pet of the week! ❤️

Kylie is an adult female hound mix with a lot of love to give!

She plays well with other dogs and loves every human she's met.

She's a big girl (~90 lbs of love) who loves scratchies, chasing a ball, and sniffing everything.

Adoptable pet of the week: lovely LUNA

This beautiful female husky is approximately 2-3 years old. She has distinct markings, a great smile, and loves getting brushed.

She's currently thin yet has a clean bill of health and we are working to put on weight- extra snacks!

She's:
- approximately 50 lbs fully grown
- spayed & vaccinated
- likes people
- gets the zoomies / loves to run
- learning basic tricks and leash walking

Gorgeous adoptable Josie

was picked up as a stray in Belmond and never claimed by her owners.

She is a super sweet dog, polite with others and easy to handle.

This sweet female has been with us for about half of her life - we estimate she is approximately 3 years old, spayed, vaccinated, and full of love. ❤️
