Call Emerson’s to schedule!!

If you want to spay or neuter your outdoor cats we have a deal for you! Friday February 28th we will be doing a spay and neuter clinic (for cats only)! These cats can be named anything but what better name than to name them after your EX! 😂 each cat will be ear notched (non-negotiable) to help identify them if they were to be brought in as a stray! Limited spots are available, so if you have one or five call to reserve your spot.

BINGO💗
Somehow this handsome man is still looking for his Valentine. He is the sweetest soul, loves adults and kiddos, and does well in the house (likes to bark at the vacuum otherwise quiet). His foster home had only the best things to say about him, if they weren’t frequent travelers I’m positive he’d be a permanent fixture in their home!

Bingo was featured at our Tails and Ales event in January, he was on his best behavior and we are shocked no one has shown interest in adopting him since. If you’re not able to adopt, please share. Bingo has been without a home of his own for way too long. If interested please message and we will get you in touch with Sandy or Don to meet Bingo.

Meet "Max"!

The newest addition to our shelter, we are still gettimg to know his personality.

This young male heeler mix is playful and energetic- full of puppy love! He is ready for training and loves pets as a reward.

He loves playing with his buddy, adoptable 1 yr old Petey and other doggie friends.

Tails and Ales🍻
What an amazing night! A HUGE thank you to The Brü partnering with us on this event. We would also like to give a special thanks to Colette Johnson and Monica Forbes for planning this event, Mike Ewing as our emcee for the night, Berta and Don Alberts for bringing the Taco Shack to us, Don Garrett with the help of Sandy and John McGrath for the care our foster dogs receive daily, our awesome board/volunteers that made this event happen, and of course everyone that came to show their support! How many of you would like to see this type of event happen more frequently? Let us know!

Bingo, our spotlight adoptable dog of the night, adored the attention (and snacks), but is somehow still looking for a home of his own after being the best boy all night. Bingo is an approximately 4 year old Heinz 57- maybe a little hound and boxer? He loves people of all sizes and gets along well with other dogs! Updated on vaccines, neutered, and ready to head to his forever home. Check him out on petfinder:

Thank you to the team at The Bru and our awesome volunteers for organizing the "Tails and Ales" event!

Everyone had fun, especially special guest- adoptable Bingo- who LOVED hearing his name called at game night!

Come visit Bingo and his friends at our shelter outside of Eagle Grove; the animals love visitors and it helps us to socialize and train them for future adopters.

Beautiful "Blossom" is our spotlight adoptable pet of the week! ❤️

You may have seen her at Lap the Lake, the grand opening of the Clarion Dog Park, or chilling out with us at the Wright County Fair!

Blossom is a ~3 year old female brindle mixed dog. She is spayed and vaccinated, loves to snuggle with people she trusts, gets on well.with kids, and can be easily handled on a leash after she gets her zoomies out!

Gets along with other dogs but may be Selective with her friends, so if you have a dog a meet n greet is recommended.

Blossom is a sweetheart who will thrive in a loving family.

Thank you for helping us share her to get her seen and adopted into a loving home.

Lynn, Dave, and Merrie shuttled three of our adoptables (Petey, Luna, and Bingo) to Pampered Pets today to meet Cody's staff and customers. Pampered Pets did a fundraiser this afternoon with the proceeds going to the Humane Society.
Special thanks to Cody and her staff who worked so hard today and another thanks to Cody's customers who graciously donated cash and dog food to our Humane Society! 💕

Tis the season of giving...and the Humane Society has been very blessed this month with numerous donations! We are so very appreciative of all these donations and their givers! THANK YOU TO ONE AND ALL!

THANK YOU to this sweet 4th grader (Alia Velasco)- who wanted to "get a little something" for the adoptable dogs at the Humane Society of Wright County. She donated around $150 and several dog jackets, beds, treats etc to our adoptable animals! 😮
Alia is such a thoughtful community service-oriented young lady! This tub filled with pet items is her second donation to our Humane Society! (Her first donation was proceeds from her lemonade stand)!. I'm sure her mother is super proud of her! 🥰

BTW- her note mentioned that she was donating candy Tic-Tacs because Teddy the Bear loves them! ❤️

HUGE SHOUT OUT TO THE CGD 3rd GRADERS IN MRS. SMITH, MRS. VOIGHTS, & MR. LIENEMANN CLASSES! ❤️❤️❤️

Every year for numerous years now, Marcia Burt has been invited to do an informational program about the Humane Society of Wright County for the third graders- and every year the students have graciously donated needed items to the HSWC!

Bags and bags of donated dog food, cat food and kitty litter filled the two red wagons as the students transported all these numerous (and much needed) items into the back of Marcia's car. Her car was FULL...and so were the hearts of all those who serve on the HSWC board, along with all the volunteers who help out with the care of our adoptable dogs & cats! 🐕🐈‍⬛️

Your annual support is very much appreciated, 3rd graders! We are so appreciative of your donations; as well as your community service towards animals!

Deb Lukes, representing the Wright County Courthouse, recently presented Marcia Burt (Treasurer of the Humane Society of Wright County) with a donation of $54.00. The money was raised during the annual Ugly Sweater Contest held in December among courthouse employees. The public was invited to join staff in voting for their favorite ugly sweater. The winner, Kim Demory, was presented with a wooden ugly sweater created by Adam Clemons. Adoptable pet of the week: "Bingo"

Can you believe that he's been with us in the shelter for almost 2 years?!?!

Bingo is great with other dogs, walks well on a leash, and is super friendly.

You might have seen him in the Wright County Fair Parade, at our annual Lap the Lake fundraiser, or Dogs n Donuts events. :)

He is a powerful dog, ~3 years old so will need a family with a space to run. He settles down quickly once he gets his zoomies out.

This boxer mix male is neutered, vaccinated, and ready for his forever family!
