Hey guys!

Just wanted to pop by to let y'all know that I will 🚫 NOT 🚫 be grooming any dogs that are in heat.

There are many reasons for this decision. It not only makes my equipment dirty, but also damages them. It's extremely unsanitary for my equipment, table, and myself. I would have to continually clean the pup, meaning I'm taking away time from other pups. Also, if I'm grooming an intact male dog, the female in heat will make them act crazy. Not to mention, heat cycles are just like periods. Your pups will be uncomfortable, fidgety or even show signs of irritability which can result in bites.

When working with sharp objects around dogs, it's important to make sure they remain calm, and I take all precautions necessary to keep your pups safe. The last thing I want to do it hurts any of your babies.

Good morning guys! 🐾

I just wanted to give everyone a visual example of what it's like when groomers have to shaved matted pups! This sweet boy hasn't seen me since July, so he was WAY overdue for a pampering!

Shaving took me almost an hr to get off, I had to work slow and change my blades constantly. He wanted lots of love, which I'm sure felt great on his skin, so we took cuddle breaks to make sure he didn't get overwhelmed or stressed out.

If you're having a hard time brushing properly, don't be afraid to reach out to your groomer so he/she can give you a visual representation and show you how to properly brush you babies! 🐩
