Hello Dog Walkers, if you are near the Claxton Fire station, we invite you to stop by and allow your dog to get some water. Fresh water will be put out every day.

We are still working on ideas to improve this contraption. The next thing we aim to do is to cover it to keep the water cooler.

Success story 🥰 Tucker came from our shelter a while ago. He was picked up behind McDonald’s and needed some medical care badly this rescue got him right away and he is now almost unrecognizable from the day we picked him up

Happy Tongue Out Tuesday from Tucker!

Tucker has the biggest heart. He won't show you until he's sure your trust worthy. However that doesn't take long. Given his first 4 months of life it makes sense he is a little afraid. He is learning a lot in his foster home about trusting people . All of the fosters he has met make sure he gets the love he didn't have as a baby. See Tucker's first family abandoned him and he got injured. But some kind folks rescued him and he came to Florida to have knee and hip surgery. Doctors at Blue Pearl fixed his knee with five pins and also fixed his hip. Tucker has done some exercises, some swimming, and land rehabilitation, and can walk and run well. He does limp sometimes but it doesn't hold him back. We found out recently he LOVES the beach and he does well on the sand.

Tucker is very special and would thrive with an adopter that is familiar with large breed males. He's very easy to correct he can't stand his person to sound disappointed.

He's good with dogs and kids!
He's curious about cats he did not chase the one he met.

If you're familiar with labs and bully breeds he's pretty easy to figure out. He loves long walks and cuddling in bed. 7 month old Tucker gets neutered on May 28th and then will be ready to join your family. Good morning! Could you please share this on your page -

Female found last night (May 25) off Burkhalter and Harold Sikes Road in Claxton. No collar/identification. She was out in the rain and in traffic so I brought her home for the night. Scared but very sweet. She’s in pretty good shape so hoping she belongs to someone! Wanting to circulate this post in case someone is missing her.

I still have her at my house. Hoping someone is missing her.

Everyone shout a happy birthday to our Mayor Terry Branch! Thanks to him all of this is possible! Without his full support there would be a lot less rescues and more euthanasia but thankfully he has always supported us in our journey to find homes and rescues!
