I've had a few ask about us since we have been MIA. We have been adjusting to life with a newborn & expect to be back to dog/puppy life this spring! Introducing the newest pup to our pack Olivia Rose. 🩷

I woke up to 3 escape artists this morning. It was time to remove the pig rail and start puppy mush. Boy did they gobble it up. They'll be transitioning to the bigger area very soon! Picture of them after the first mush feeding in the comments. 😀

A pile of weens have filled our home. ❤️ 2 black & tans, and 4 dapples. 5 boys, 2 girls. They are not ready to give homes just yet. We wait until eyes are open, and we know everyone is good and healthy! I can't answer any questions on my post. Refer to the website for all FAQ. Will be ready mid September 🍂

Miniature vs Standard size

I ALWAYS get the question "How much will my puppy weigh?"

All dachshund come from the same genes, that’s why they are registered as dachshund and not miniature or standard. Size was only to determine which show ring they go in, anything under 11 went into miniature show ring and anything over 16 went to standard show ring. 12-15 should not be shown as it is an in between size.

Just because parents are under 11 doesn't mean the pups will be. We have seen dog breeders breed a 6lb to 8lb and all the offspring were over 25lb (5 pups) but the other side we have seen dog breeders breed a 25lb to a 17lb and got pups under 10lb. This is also why breeders will not guarantee the size of their pups.

Our dachshund here normally range 8-16lb but I will not guarantee any adult sizes once grown.

I just wanted to let all of our past, present, & future fur familys know we won't have any babies for quite sometime. We are expecting our own baby later this year.🤰 (this one is human) 😉So our dogs and myself, are going to have a much needed relaxing Spring/Summer. We may have a litter that would be ready to go in the Fall. As always send me pictures of those growing babies! I will post when we do expect any litters in the future. Have a good Summer! ☀️

This will be the last post of these little guys for their familys. 🐾They are leaving this weekend and full of s***k! None of them like pictures, so videos it is! Lol 'D'Angelo' has no collar while his twin 'Duke' has the collar on. Little one blue eyed dapple doesn't have a name yet but he sure is cute! (All have homes)
