As we take the time to reflect on what this year has brought us, we can't help but feel extra Blessed and therefore, extra grateful. Business was different this year. Tim had some repeat clients as usual, but all of our clients brought challenges of all kinds. We had a couple right of the bat that were opposite of what he was told, but he faced the challenges brought and he did phenomenally like he always does. His patience is unlike anything I've seen.

We had many clients become good friends this year and some of them will be returning next year and we can't wait! This year is especially gracious as we've got two horses in for training right now, and we're due to have a couple more over the winter.

This summer, the family spent time down in Canistota with friends we now claim as family. A young lady that's become like a little sister, worked alongside Tim and played a part in how well the Dakota Showdown went for us. In October we were settled back in at home completely and it's been humbling. We fully believe this path we've been on this year has been part of God's plan.

General had a busy breeding season, not only with our mares, but a few outside as well. Next year should be fairly prosperous with foals on the ground and the addition of broodmares.

The weather has been relatively favorable and it's been pretty awesome to still be bustin tail up to this point in the winter.

From our family to yours, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and many warm, heartfelt thanks for your business. Without you, this dream wouldn't be reality!

Bridger, Piper, and Mystery all here for some tune ups.

Bridger is a gelding that has been sitting for a short time and has bucked while working cows, he's here for me to fix that!

Piper is not real thrilled about her ears being messed with and it makes it almost impossible to get a bridle on. While she's here, I'll be working on that and getting her some miles. She rides real nice under saddle so far!

Mystery is super sweet and quiet on the ground. Once I'm on her back she's a little prancy, but we'll get that under control.

All three of these mounts were started very well. Working them in the round pen is a breeze, we'll start getting them outside today.

Every once in a while, we gotta get the wife in the round pen. This shows that a horse will respond to more than just the trainer. We also gotta get them Littles on their backs to start that love and passion, young!

LG has been a phenomenal filly to work with. She's got a lot of fire when she gets in with the cows, but she's very responsive and she pays attention to her cues. She's very calm on the ground and super sweet to love on. She's our four year old's favorite in the program! Her owner has done such a fantastic job getting her started!

I have worked with many horses, and trained for many people. We don't all get along, and some I never hear from again - and that's OKAY! Many clients have spread the good word about my work far and wide, and some of you have even become dear friends. But *THIS* this right here really makes a guy feel good about the work he does. Every day I do my best. Every day your horses get my best, and some days they really test me as a trainer and a rider.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart for such kind words. My wife and I certainly have appreciated your business and your friendship!

Has anyone told you how well Albert is doing?! No?! Silly me 🤣 Albert has officially had some outside, cow exposing rides in big country. After he realized that being rode wasn't so bad, he's really become quite adventurous! Becca and Kayla had him out being ponied the other day and he was the first one in the water - woohoo! We're really excited to show him off here in a few short weeks at the Dakota Showdown!

We've had a pretty successful last couple of weeks! Kenny got his first ride, Sq**rt is laying down like a pro and did very well on his first ride, Albert is also really making progress on the ground. Max is a welcome back gal from last year, she showed up a little amped, but she got a reality check and is showing she remembers her training well from last year! And Riot gets to be out working cows and going on casual rides!

General and Lu brought another beautiful little bay roan filly into the world this morning! She has very similar markings to Dakota (her full sister from last year) - and she is allllllll legs!! Mama Lu and baby are doing wonderfully!

We've been off to a great start so far this training season. We've got Snickers, Albert, Doc, Fin, Riot and, getting two tomorrow!

Snickers has proven to be extremely independent and if she's not being a pill during warm up, warming her up gets her hot 🤣 she has beautiful moves though!

Albert is extremely gentle, but has definitely found his energy now that he's put on a little weight. He's extremely smart, very friendly, not spooked by much of anything. Dakota Showdown is in for a treat with this guy.

Doc is a BA dude. He's got a real nice handle on him, comes off like he'd like to dump ya, but he's been the best ride yet.

Fin is a complete powerhouse. We've had to do some changes with saddle fit, but now that we've got it down, hold on to your hats boys and girls. He's been learning how to ride out alone because Tim learned that he's buddy sour - whether he's known a horse for a minute, a day, or a lifetime he wasn't a fan of getting ridden away from. He's doing very well in his progress!

Riot.....well.....he's not what you'd think judging by that name! Guns, dogs, kids, horses, cats, fireworks, new riders, new experiences, you name it, this horse couldn't give two sh*ts less 🤣 he's always a fun one to have (returning friend from last year). His mama plans to do mounted shooting with him and he, of course, is posing zero concerns there!

Check out this looker!!! Sunny is a bucskin roan weanling filly that has brains, braun, personality, and moves! Dam is HW Lightning Lady and has parentage back to Colonel Freckles and Doc Bar. Sire is BVH General Hancock who is 42% Blue Valentine and has offspring kicking ass in all aspects of riding. Registration is in process, just waiting to receive the papers.
