This week kicks off Farrier Appreciation week. While I am not a farrier by trade, I am a veterinarian and a horse owner and deal with hoof issues all of the time. This was a very exciting day for me because I received my first pair of farrier chaps as part of a 5 day course in Equine Applied Podiatry. The knowledge and skills I learned have helped me to help my own horse and have significantly improved the health of his hooves. I will be posting some photos this week of our journey from steel shoes to barefoot.

Holistic Hoofcare | Now is perfect! Anyone that knows me knows I always go to the next level in whatever I do! I’ve been using this product on my horse for six months while rehabbing him from steel shoes. Along with the trimming practices I learned from K.C. La Pierre at the Institute of Applied Equine Podiatry - this has made all the difference. I will be posting some pictures soon of his journey from shoes to barefoot and the transformation is remarkable. It has been hard work, but totally worth it!
