We hope everyone braved the freezing temperatures and that weird white stuff well. It’s been a heck of a start to 2024 but we’re looking forward to the future and whatever roller coaster ride God has planned.

Now that the busy holiday season has come and gone, it’s time to give your 4 legged hairy kids some lovin’. If they’re looking like a pedicure is needed, give us a call.

With Christmas around the corner and the hustle and bustle, we hope everyone takes a moment to stop and be still, to reflect on why we celebrate this season. The presents are nice (albeit the stressor of Christmas) but the greatest gift of all, Jesus our Lord and Savior, was given to us on this holy holiday many years ago and we pray you can rest in this during Christmas.

Now if you did happen to go out on a limb and get a furry four hooved friend this Christmas, shoot us a message when they’re ready for a trim.

Merry Christmas y’all!

Trims for a pretty bay mare and a handsome paint today out in beautiful Godley.

The weather is hot. The ground is dry. Your horses need a trim every 6 weeks so they can fly.

We know horses don’t fly. We also know poetry writing is not our thing. So just give us a text/call/message and get on the books then we can be your friendly reminder your hairy investment needs attention instead of you trying to remember when 6 weeks ago was.

“Some animals require an every-four-weeks schedule, while others may be well into the seventh or eighth week before attention is needed,” Maki said. “An important point to remember is that excessive growth will cause the hoof to deteriorate; therefore, more frequent work is better than allowing hooves to grow long.”

Hoof trimming also is necessary to prevent other foot distortion problems; poor hoof care can make horses more prone to injuries and can cause fungal infections, sole bruises, or abscesses of the hoof.
