Here is your reminder that dog training is not a linear process!!

Are you frustrated with your dogs training?
Do you feel like your dog isn’t moving forward or maybe even regressing?

Training does not progress in a straight line moving up, but more like waves. There is going to be ups and downs, there are times when you’ll have to take a step back and review the basics. Training is not one size fits all!

Do not feel discouraged. Sometimes it takes a step backwards to be able to move forward.

Not trying to interact with the dogs we see on the street or in homes can make a huge difference to both the dog and owner.

It can help puppies build confidence and impulse control, make worried or reactive dogs feel safer and set the owner up for success.

Not to take away the joy of meeting dogs, but both dog and owner will make it pretty clear if they are keen to interact. And that’s when the question can the be asked if it’s okay to say hello.

Some of the best relationships I’ve had with dogs has started from waiting for them to make contact first.

We have fosters available for adoption!
Meet Atlas and Bravo, 2 senior dogs looking for their perfect home.

Atlas (first 2 photos) is an Australian shepherd, age currently unknown, that is partially blind (can't see on the sides) but is always full of wiggles and ready for a cuddle. He is a friendly dog with some energy but would do best in a single dog home. He is currently being trained in basic obedience while waiting for a new home.

Bravo is a German shepherd mix (last 4 photos), 6 years old, that loves spending time on the couch with you. He has some energy and loves to play ball. He would do best in a single dog home, does not like to be approached by other dogs, but can ignore other dogs at a distance. He is currently learning basic obedience until he finds a new home.

Rehoming fee will apply to cover the cost of care, fosters will come with updated shots and a health certificate.

Zeke is here for a hybrid program to become a service dog. He is showing exceptional progress with his obedience training, and we are continuing with his socialization and confidence building.
