Hi everyone 💚

We hope you are all safe and sound after last night’s storm. All of the horses at the farm are safe and happily eating hay, as they were the entirety of the storm.

Damage to the farm is minimal but includes some downed fence line (interior turnouts) and other expected damage and debris.

There are currently downed power lines and trees across our road which means it is NOT SAFE at this time to attempt to come to the farm. We know you are anxious to see your horses and the farm, and Aly and Josh are taking great care of them in the meantime. We will let you know the minute it’s safe to come out, and we thank you for entrusting us with your horse’s care, especially during situations like this.

We are thankful for minimal damage and inconvenience when so many others in our state weren’t nearly as lucky, and thankful for the first responders who are out there doing what they can to help everyone. We are thinking of and praying for our neighbors who have it much worse than we do. 💚💛🤍

Join Our Team!

We are reopening our search for an additional team member who is passionate about top-notch horse care. We would love to add someone who is looking to further their education and experience level in a professional, high-level show, lesson, and training barn. This position will be working alongside experienced and professional hard-working staff, with a focus on state-of-the-art horse maintenance, daily care, and exercise, and under two nationally competitive and medaled dressage trainers.

🐴 Position: Full-Time Stable Hand/ Show Groom at High-End Facility (focusing in dressage--not specific to the Arabian breed)
📍 Location: Clermont, FL
- 30 minutes from Disney and Orlando
- An hour from Tampa
- An hour and 15 minutes from WEC Ocala

Duties Include:
- Daily care of horses, including feeding, grooming, turnout, and basic medical care
- Stall cleaning and general barn and farm maintenance
- Assisting with veterinary and farrier visits
- Ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the barn and farm
- Assisting with special events and activities hosted at our facility
- Participating in the exercising of horses as needed
**Show groom and riding opportunities available**
***This is a hands-on, horse-focused position. At this time, we will ONLY be hiring qualified candidates with previous horse experience. Experience working in a training or show barn is a huge plus. Salary commensurate with experience.***

Requirements:
• Experience with and confidence in safely handling ALL types and breeds of horses, from lesson horses and retirees to breeding stallions and babies
• Conduct and maintain a high standard of care for horses, barn, and grounds
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to or willing to learn to confidently operate farm equipment (tractors, gators, etc)
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed
• Physically capable of performing manual labor in various weather conditions and lifting heavy objects
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license—18+ only
• References from within the industry

🌟Introducing Aly Castleman!🌟

We are so excited to announce that Aly Castleman has joined our team as a trainer and riding instructor. Aly is a USDF Silver Medalist and multi-national champion with a lifelong focus on dressage. She has a long history with Al-Marah-bred horses, from her time training and showing for An Tearmann Arabians, to training and showing for Al-Marah Arabians in Tucson and the University of Arizona’s Al-Marah-focused program. Aly is a seasoned professional with a proven track record of starting young horses and successfully riding them to excellence in the show ring across multiple disciplines and levels, and we are so excited to welcome her to our program.

In addition to her impressive training and competitive history, Aly has years of experience and education working in the therapeutic riding field. A previously-certified PATH instructor, Aly will also add a new element to our facility’s equestrian program for Michael’s Foundation, a non-profit organization that offers guidance and community for veterans and their families. Aly will be renewing her PATH certification in the coming months.

Day 1 of the re-roof is officially wrapped! West Orange Roofing is doing an amazing job and working so quickly to get all of our horses back inside. Although we’ll have a quiet barn tonight, the horses are enjoying this beautiful, breezy evening outside with their buddies 🍃

We had a great time hosting Wounded Warrior Project with Michael's Foundation today! We took participants through just a couple of demonstrations of programs that Michael’s Foundation offers veterans, including grooming, free lunging, and an obstacle course. Thank you to everyone who came out (and gave Feisty and Star lots of treats!!!), and to everyone that helped today! 💚💛🤍

A special thanks to our awesome farrier Adam Tallman Cjf for expertly showing and teaching our guests about Feisty’s special shoes for his DSLD as an extra treat. We always love learning from you!
