Hey friends, would anyone happen to have a newer generator around they don’t need? It needs to be a minimum of 5000 continuous watts
We’ve been working on ours all day and it’s completely broken and needs all new parts which we can do but it will take time and money of course.
We have a fundraiser Friday and need one for it! This is also our same generator that we use when there are storms and we need it or if our power goes out, we use it to power our well.

If you have one, please send us a message on here we would greatly appreciate it!!!

Can you believe these photos were taken just FIVE weeks apart?!

This is Moose from about 3 years ago, he was so weak when we rescued him he laid down right as we got him off the trailer (not colicing just so weak)

There was no reason other than improper diet causing him to be this emaciated. We were able to get him proper nutrition and care to ensure he gained the weight safely!

Unfortunately Moose was euthanized last year from an old pelvis injury. After he had gained the weight we noticed his end looking a little different so we asked the vet. After examining him and an internal exam you could feel the pelvis (supposed to be one large piece) was actually two! Thankfully we were able to show him live and give him happiness towards the end of his life until he was unable to keep going.

These are the types of horses that stay at our rescue, to ensure a safe and secure rest of their lives where they never have to worry again ❤️🐴

Sharing from 2019, seriously the best gift ever! This was just the most incredible experience. Please check out the video if you haven’t! We are so proud of our rescue and what we have been able to do for these animal and also people!

I see some sweet faces (human and animal) that we’ve lost over the last 5 years, I know they’re watching over us ❤️

Also wow I always forget we painted all of the barns red in 2020 during the Covid shut down, crazy to look back on those yellow barns now. What do you guys think? Do you like the red better?

Unfortunately purina made some changes and is no longer helping us like they were here, we get coupons every now and again but it doesn’t put a dent in the hundreds of bags we use every month 😅

I’m just forever thankful for this life changing gift of bringing the Clydesdales to the rescue! ❤️🐴

We are struggling so much this year and we’ve had to really think about the future of our rescue, but these reminders of our hard work over the last 18 years give us that strength to keep going ❤️
If you’re interested in helping the rescue please contact us about sponsorship! We could really use your help now more than ever!

Peanut Update- Warning Graphic!
Let me start out by saying, WE WONT PUT A HORSE DOWN WITHOUT TRYING TREATMENT FIRST! I honestly can’t believe some of the comments I see. Yes this year has financially strained us but that doesn’t mean a horse has to loose his life! I’ve had to delete some comments where people are saying that! There was never a question about the possibility of putting Peanut down, in a few years yes there is that possibility if/when the cancer comes back. Theirs no way to fully eradicate it to where it would never come back but they did their best!

That being said, Peanut is sooo happy to be home! Him & Scout were on their best behavior for the veterinarians and they took the best care of them.

Surgery was successful! Dr.Smith was able to remove all of the affected tissue and it came off as a pretty large mass! This is squamous cell carcinoma which is a type of skin cancer. We do expect that this will come back in the future but not anytime soon!

Please consider making a donation, Peanuts surgery always approx $3000 for this life changing surgery and we need your help to raise the funds!! Please consider making a donation to help pay off this bill!

Peanut is finished with surgery and recovering in his stall!
Thank you everyone for your kind words, prayers and donations! This truly is a life or death situation, without this surgery peanut would have to be put down within a matter of months due to the discomfort of the cancer. It’s not his time and he has so much love left to give ❤️

We need you help to raise the $3500 it will cost for his surgery!! Please donate if you can!

The veterinarian said he came out of surgery great! He was able to clear all of the cancerous cells, which were two very large painful masses on the p***s, he couldn’t even put it back into his sheath (protective skin) because it was so swollen. The relief Peanut must feel is tremendous! Even with the masses being able to be removed there is still a very high probability of it growing back in a few years but we can cross that bridge when we get to it! For now he is a happy healthy sweet boy!

Please consider making a donation, no matter how big or small it all helps!!!
This year has just been the hardest year we’ve ever had. It’s been incredibly hard and we’re truly just trying our hardest for these horses. Please help if you are able, even sharing makes a difference! ❤️🐴

Our sweet Peanut- one of our original rescues 18 years ago!b
Recently we began battling a sore on his p***s, unfortunately it didn’t get any better so we booked him in with the specialists in Ocala.
He had just confirmed that he has the big C word, squamous cell carcinoma a bad form of skin cancer.

He will be going in for surgery today to remove whatever they can get but unfortunately this will just be to make him comfortable, theirs no way to fully remove all of the cells and preventing it from coming back. He will live many years with this and we truly do consider quality of life and at this point it’s absolutely worth fighting for him ❤️ Please say a prayer for him today as he goes through this

He will get his surgery today then remain at Peterson smith for after care as Loran will be going back for her own surgery tomorrow. This year has been extremely tough on us and it just keeps on going unfortunately. His best friend Scout is up here with him and will remain with him through everything as they are inseparable.

Please please consider making a donation to save our sweet boy peanuts life and give him a comfortable few years that he has left. He is truly one of our favorite boys here and we adore him! ❤️🐴

This surgery & aftercare is estimated to cost around $3500, we also have a remaining bill for Capone’s castration last time we were here, that was $1500 and we were only able to raise $500 of it. This year has just been the hardest year we’ve ever had. It’s been incredibly hard and we’re truly just trying our hardest for these horses. Please help if you are able, even sharing makes a difference! ❤️🐴

Everyone meet Lleroy the Llama!
❤️🦙
He is our newest addition to our farm! He is a 1 year old male llama that is a little skittish at the moment but will be in training for our petting zoos that help raise funds for the rescue!
We were hoping to add a llama before we lost Llarry earlier this year so he could learn from him but the right one didn’t come along until now ❤️ we can’t wait to show you his progress!

Delilah in the background was very excited to meet him!

Question for all of those that would be interested, would you like to see this weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly? Also what day would you like to see us hold this on? Any other suggestions?

We are in desperate need of an every Wednesday PM volunteer feeder at our rescue! Immediate start Wednesday’s 4-5PM. The wonderful lady we had volunteering is starting back to teach at school after the summer, we have been so thankful to have her!

Our feed shifts at 4pm. Our horses are on a feed schedule and these times can’t be changed. Our barns are split up into three sections and this barn only has 9 stalls (you only clean 7 of them).

Experience is required and must be adult for this position for this shift as you will be in charge of making sure it is done correctly please
Duties include-
Feeding horses
Turning out horses if needed (haltering and walking them)- this barn only requires you to open the stall door and let them out into the paddock.
Cleaning, mucking, sweeping stalls
Cleaning and refilling waters
Moving hay
Driving manure spreader
Loving on the rescue horses ❤️

Please message us here and let us know if this is something you would be interested in!

Thank you ❤️🐴

We are in desperate need of material for our dirt rd!
We have a non-county maintained dirt rd and all this rain from hurricane Debby has ruined it. Ive contacted the county and they can’t do anything at all for us 😭 the road is about half a mile long
We have the equipment to do all the work we just need any sort of material… fill dirt, clay, millings, lime rock, anything would help at this point. We just don’t have the funds to pay for it with all of the expenses this year.
Right now whenever it rains it all washes out and goes down our farms driveway, we can re route it but we just don’t have any material to move.

Does anyone know any contacts that could help us? Any construction companies that have extra dirt? It just needs to be dumped on the road and we can do the rest.
Please don’t suggest county as I’ve been trying to get them to do something about it for years, they didn’t even care when the fire trucks were getting stuck down here 😭

Thank yall so much ❤️🐴 anything helps, this has been such a hard year on everyone

Hurricane Debby update!
We had a lot of wind & rain overnight but all the horses are safe, just a little soggy!

We are in central Florida so got the east side of the storm. We have our hurricane turn out/ disaster plans for all the animals including the exotics! We know that the horses do best when turned out during this weather.

We have a little bit to clean up after the storm but we are always so thankful when the animals get through the storm safely ❤️

We had a blast attending our very first food trucks in downtown Clermont! We will be back with more! Please share your photos with us if you have any ❤️

The support of you guys was overwhelming! We met so many wonderful people tonight and we are so grateful!

A huge thank you to Jen with Clermont Main Street for putting together this wonderful event with your wonderful and such awesome volunteers!

Also a huge thank you to our friends at Corellis pantry for allowing us the use of their parking lot! They also let us plug into their power when our generator went down so we could make sure the animals had fans on them to keep cool! You guys have always been amazing to us over the years and we are so thankful! We also had a delicious dinner from there for after all the hard work!

And of course a massive thank you to my wonderful friends that come out and volunteer with our rescue! We truly couldn’t do it without yall!
