If you are local to DFW area: Thea, the trainer will email you a list of dogs for you to narrow down who you are interested in. Make an appointment time to meet Thea at Camp Diggy Bones. Once you choose the dog(s), you will go to office at Camp Diggy Bones, call Jason at Happy Endings and let him know name of dogs you are taking, he will fax a transfer document that is signed by you and Happy Endings. This covers our bases in case there is ever any legal question about who the dogs belong to at this point. Then Jason from Happy Endings will send medical records to the rescue. Thea can answer any questions and can send any rescue the list to choose from. So if you know a rescue willing to take a dog, have them get in touch with Thea.
If you are out of town/state: Thea, the trainer will email you a list of dogs to narrow down who you are interested in. Tell her who you would like more information on, she can send you photos and bios of those dogs. Per a phone call, she can answer questions further questions. Once you decide who you want to take, transport arrangements will have to be made. Jason from Happy Endings will fax or email you the transfer paperwork to sign and he will either mail you the medical records or send them with the transporter.
If you can donate food or volunteer-

More info:
Three years ago, Happy Endings made arrangements with Camp Diggy Bones to build kennels for their dogs (they also have a facility in Hewitt but wanted a facility in Dallas). The agreement was Happy Endings would pay Camp Diggy Bones monthly to cover mortgage on kennels, dog food, staff (for feedings, pee/p**p pick up, distributing medication, supervision in play yards for exercise), and heat and air in indoor/outdoor kennels. In 2013, funds started to become less and less each month and Camp Diggy Bones went through his personal savings.
The week before Christmas, Happy Endings Founder told the kennel owner she is done sending him money but expects him to continue caring for the dogs until she can find other placement, however kennel owner is unable to provide food, heat and care without that funding. Why is this happening? That is not clear and due to legal reasons we will not give opinions at this time. As this proceeds, those questions may or may not be answered but we hope the community can focus on the best interest of the dogs and their welfare for now.
he dogs are not getting exercise so many will soon go cage crazy. The dogs go through 500lbs of dog food a day. He has doing the best he can to maintain clean kennels and care for the dogs with the help of only his wife and the trainer who is volunteering her time.
Thanks for your help!
