This male german shepard was found on hickory court with paw injuries. The dog was brought to Northview animal clinic for treatment. Please contact them if you are the owner or know who the owner is.

Male stray Chihuahua mix hit by car yesterday, 6-9-24 on East Erie Rd - Lorain. A Good Samaritan took him to the emergency clinic and fortunately after some fluids and pain meds he perked up. He was in shock but must have "rolled" under the car - no broken bones or internal injuries. No microchip, collar or tags when found. He is small, 8 1/2 lbs - young dog. If this is your dog or if you recognize him, please email [email protected]. The LCDK etc was notified. Thank you.

This sweet girl, Shadow was abandoned in Avon Lake. ALPD held her for an extra week hoping the owner would claim her. She was not claimed, so now Love-A-Stray had her vaccinated and she tested negative for HW. She is about 1 year old, 39 # and as sweet as can be! Black and white cattle dog mix running loose in Avon Lake on Lake road- west side by Moore. Ran south to Electric almost got hit by car.
Who wants to foster Brooklyn while we search for her forever home?! She is a GREAT dog! Brooklyn is about 2 years old, good with other dogs and loves to ride in the car. LAS had her vetted and she tested negative for HW. Everyone who meets Brooklyn just LOVES her. She is not recommended with cats but does great with other dogs. Brooklyn was at the LCDK and the Friends of Lorain County Dog Kennel, Inc. reached out to us and ask if we could help find her a wonderful home! She went to Roger's K9 for an evaluation with other dogs and now she has lots of doggy pals. Email [email protected] if you can HELP! Thank you!

The REUNION! This was a great moment that we will remember for a long time. Huge thanks to the residents of Avon Lake on Sorrento and Capri Court that let us invade their homes and yards to make sure Bowie could be reunited with his owners. Also, thank you to the Avon Lake Police Department for your assistance and support. Remi's Pet Recovery operates like a SWAT TEAM! š It is hard to explain to people that there is a plan, and it does take time to allow the loose dog to relax from their traumatic experience. Just chasing the dog out of the area or searching and disrupting the safe place the lost dog has found, is a recipe for disaster. All the residents in the neighborhood understood and were happy to cooperate. We LOVE a Happy Ending, and we LOVE Avon Lake!

Update on Sochi the death row Dobie now living his best life! Turtleneck and booties! š¤£š He gets cold easy so now he has a special coat, and his paw pads are very sensitive, probably from prior life in a kennel, so he needed booties for running on concrete and salt on sidewalks LOL He sounds like a little pony! š #supportlocalrescue
