In honor of Shadows’ birthday yesterday we had cake. He would have been 17 years old. I miss him so much.

It's been two years since Shadows passed away and I still miss him so much. Some days harder than others. I seriously think I have been more depressed since he passed. No dog will ever replace my Butterball. I need him so much. He was my baby that God chose to bless me in place of a human baby. He was my comfort when my daddy passed away. Now all I think about is seeing him and my dad again. I pray for the Rapture every day. Some people say he was just a dog but he was more to me than that. My life felt fuller with him in it and the joy of see him when I come from work made my boring life worthwhile. I miss you Shadows.

I'm missing him so much. The other night I dreamed he was kidnapped and I had to run through my old high school to find where his kidnapper was holding him.

Today would have been my beloved Shadows' 14th birthday. Only other dog lovers will understand my pain. I have no children so he became my "son". My heart aches to hold him and to give him kisses. My only comfort is he is with our Heavenly Father, his first care giver.

This is Shadows' mommy. I thought all his fans would like to know that he went onto heaven this morning. He's been sick for some time and fought the good fight, but it was his time. He was 13 and half so he lived a long good life. I will be turning this into a memorial page for him so anyone that knew him personally and has a favorite memory or picture of him you may post it here, or anyone for the matter. If you want to share, feel free.
