Just a friendly reminder to not neglect your dog's hair during the winter. They actually need more grooming and home maintenance due to weather and dry indoor air, than during the summer. Severely matted hair will need to be shaved for the health of the dog, and also result in a higher grooming fee due to extra time, skill, and extra wear and tear on tools.

Washing and drying dogs, keeping the salon clean, and answering the phone. No experience is required. $12/hr without experience, $13/hr+ with professional experience. Days are Thursday-Saturday 10:30-6:00, with possible extra days during the week. Apprenticeship training to groomer considered for the right candidate.

Flat faced dogs have special needs for keeping the skin where they have face wrinkles clean and healthy. To clean, simply wipe daily to keep the area clean and free of debris. This prevents bacteria, foul odors, and irritation from setting in. The wrinkles need to be pulled open to access.

Winter weather plus not enough trips to the groomer has been especially tough on coats this year. Severely matted hair causes poor blood circulation, skin conditions, and discomfort to the dog. The only remedy is to shave off the matted coat.
