Mult-qualifiers for VRH and WDAA world shows. Top 3 AQHA western dressage 2023.
A giant congratulations to Sierra and Daisy for a successful first show! They only started under saddle this spring and decided less than two weeks ago to enter the show. My goal for them was to survive their first show out and have a positive experience but Sierra set a personal goal to not place last in her classes. Her dedication paid off, they exceded their goals and placed in the top three in horsemanship!

I've judged shows with airplanes flying over before, but this was a first! Wonderful time judging the Gunnison Cattleman's Days 4H horse show. Turned it into a working vacation with , small town independence day celebration and then off to the mountains.

New lesson dates
Moving forward I will be making changes to what horses I accept for training. All horses over the age of two must demonstrate the ability to work under saddle safely to enter my training program.
My area of expertise is in performance and show horses. If you want to send your horse to the show pen or are looking to expand your horses skill then I'm here to help! I do not fix problem horses or start older horses with unknown history, there are others out there with more skill than me in those areas.

Pretty humbling to say I've bred, owned, trained, and exhibited a horse who made the AQHA Top 10 twice in 2023 ( he tied for 3rd in both levels). Thank you to everyone who believed in my crazy dream of dressage cow horses. I've trusted my process and it's clearly showing success. Next stop AQHA World Show.

I showed Diva last year as a 3 year old with no expectations, but she can now add 2024 AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse world show qualifier to her growing list of accomplishments!

Thankful for good neighbors who lend a hand. It's hard to be on activity restrictions, but I should be back at in 4 weeks. Until then, groundwork!
Wanted to give an update on a group lesson schedule. I have gotten the approval for a medical procedure that will keep me out of the saddle until the first part of April. I apologize to everyone for having to delay until spring but don't worry with the nicer weather and longer days we will have time to play!
Got to bust out the new toy today! The arena has been a dream two years in the making and this drag makes it that much closer to coming true. Very excited to have safer footing for horses and riders alike. ABI Equine was absolutely wonderful to work with and I highly recommend them. Thank you to Nate for all his help with research and getting things up and running.

Shoulders in on a young horse, it can get kinda messy. On my young or green horses I don't expect them to hold a shoulders in, I just want them to practice entering and exiting the maneuver. Once this becomes easy, then I can start asking them to stay in it a couple of strides.
