If you haven’t already put extra effort into keeping outdoor cats (and dogs) safe during the next few days of weather, today is the last day to get it together before this dangerous cold snap.

If kitty allows, this is a great time to bring them in the house or garage with additional shelter.

There are many do it yourself shelters or heated shelters online for purchase.

Tractor supply stores typically sell straw.

Access to electricity? Heating panels. Waterproof heating pads. Hand warmers if nothing else.

Feeding larger portions and out of the elements is important. Even a cardboard box is better than nothing for a feeding station.

As cold as it is right now, it is hard to believe that spring is right around the corner. Spring = kitten season! Spaying and neutering your pets is critical to preventing unwanted litters and homeless animals!

If you need information about spay/neuter, vaccinations, or TNR, contact your veterinarian, Macomb County Animal Control , All About Animals Rescue or other local rescues.

🚨Help King Find His Forever Home! 🐾🚨

Dear Bed & Biscuit family,

Since stepping into my role as Kennel Manager, I am proud to share that we’ve successfully rehomed 7 wonderful dogs—and I hope to continue this positive trend with your help!

Meet King, a beautiful 2 year old Rottweiler. King is a very sweet boy with a heart full of energy and love. He’s the absolute sweetest, listens well, knows basic commands, and just wants to be part of a family who will give him the life he deserves.

King came to us from a client who was going through a tough situation and could no longer care for him. He was with us at Bed & Biscuit for a little while and has been in a wonderful foster home for a couple months, learning some basic commands and how to be the best boy. Now it is time for him to find his forever home. If you or someone you know is interested in giving this incredible boy the love he’s been waiting for, please don’t hesitate to reach out! He will be adoptable through All About Animals Rescue and will be neutered before he is adopted. We think King would do best in a home with bigger kids because he is a bit strong and doesn't know his strength all the time. We do not know how he is around cats. He is interested in other dogs, but would need a slow introduction and would probably need to eat separate from other animals. He isn't exactly possessive of food, but he sure likes to eat and might not be too happy if another animal or small child got in his eating space.
