Hey, everyone! Ik I've been MIA for quite a while, but I wanted to share a few updates from the past couple months. Some great, some sad.
First, my sweet Gracie was adopted! Her new family loves her and she absolutely adores them ❤️
Pretty Girl has also been adopted! She's adapting well and I know she'll do great in a home that has only one other cat 🤗

Now the sad news. My Honey cat passed away. She was my feral, felv+ girl who, until recently (moved her into my room), lived in my bathroom since last spring. It happened so fast. She seemed fine one moment, then her breathing got a little heavy. I decided to take her to the emergency vet, but before I could get out the door, she collapsed. I held her as she took her last few breaths 😞

I've no update on when or if TNR will start back up. I still have many cats in foster. The food and vet bills from the past year has put me in financial and emotional turmoil. Once I do get to a point I'm comfortable with starting TNR back up, there will be a lot of changes.
Until then, I'm focusing on caring for the fosters and finding them perfect homes.

I want to express my gratitude for everyone who has supported me by donating, sharing, and helping in whatever way they could! You're all amazing! Thank you!

Update on Luna. Xray showed an enlarged heart which is believed to have caused the collapse and low O2 levels. She's being sent home with meds and will follow up with her normal vet asap. Total came to $655. Thank you to everyone who donated! ❤️🥰

Sharing for a family member!
My sister's dog collapsed tonight. She took her straight to the emergency vet and this is the estimate. She's currently on oxygen and her gums are pale. If you can help, please do! Update 1/21
The swelling has started going down (new pic added). The small hole on her cheek hasn't gotten any bigger and it is draining. I've been doing warm compresses and antibiotic ointment. She's still opting to sleep in her litter box, but she's drinking normally, eating pureed foods, and still grooming herself. I'll let the antibiotics run their course and then see about getting her in for a dental exam and go from there. Thank you for all the suggestions, advice, shared experiences, and well wishes. I'll update again once I know more ❤️

Rescue or advice on quality of life needed.
Honey was brought to me last April. She was trapped somewhere in Detroit after having a litter of kittens. Sadly, the kittens didn't survive. She was completely feral, so after spaying, I found a barn for her to call home. Unfortunately, she tested positive for felv so plans changed and she's lived in my bathroom ever since.
In the last month, she's allowed me to get closer, then tolerated touch, soon petting, and now I'm even able to hold her.
Last weekend, her face began to look a little puffy on one side. By Monday night it was obviously swollen, so I took her into the vet Tuesday morning. I was thinking tooth abscess, but the vet wasn't too sure because it feels harder than what an abcess usually does. She was given antibiotics, but today it looks much worse and there's a spot that looks like it might be opening up on her cheek.
I don't have the resources for more in depth vetting (further testing, surgery, etc). If there is a rescue willing to take her in to get her further care, please reach out!
I don't have much experience with felv+ cats, but if putting her through anymore procedures is just prolonging the inevitable, I will take her in for euthanasia next week.

Located in Flint. Cat in need of help! Unaltered male, friendly. He showed up at an existing TNR colony recently. Today, he has wounds on his neck. Looks like he's been attacked by something. Rescue, transport, funding needed.

Syd 😍
She seems so much happier being crated, safe from the cats who bully her 😠
She's the sweetest girl, close to a year old. Syd was trapped with the intention of being returned, hence the ear tip. She was small and I just couldn't put her back outside 🥺 It was questioned whether she may be a Russian blue. I'm unsure, but the area she came from had lots of gray, blue point, and standard siamese cats. Syd is spayed and vaccinated. She loves people and attention. She does well with other cats who have the same gentle disposition as she has. She does fine around calm dogs as well. Her adoption fee is reduced to just 5️⃣0️⃣

Pretty Girl loves people! She'll gently tap you for pets. She's a sweet girl and she's getting picked on by the resident cats :/ Pretty Girl gets allow well with other friendly cats. She doesn't mind dogs either. All she requires is a perch of her own. A shelf, a table, a cat tower, she's not too picky. She doesn't too much like being held, but she'll sit with you for pets for as long as you'll allow. She is 2-3 yrs old, spayed, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is 5️⃣0️⃣. Located in Clio.
