Took Lucy to our place for the day on Friday so we could work her closer to her off leash goals without as many unpredictable distractions as at the apartment. This allowed me to use Osa as a more controlled distraction for Lucy. Muzzle just for precaution.

Lucy belongs to a long time friend of mine. She has entrusted me with her care and I will be staying at her apartment with Lucy for a week starting on the 8th of October and helping her get a jumpstart on her training. We will be focusing on crate training, addressing her reactivity and starting some off leash skills while I’m with her. We will proceed with a handful of private lessons after her owner returns home, including a lesson when she gets back to go over what we worked on during the week! Lucy is an extremely motivated dog and pretty easy going, so we are excited to spend time and work with her!

Bela got to hang out with our personal dogs, Osa and Eevee some, today. They played some, chilled out together, and did some obedience around each other. Really impressed with Bela's ability to recall away from the other pups and maintain her place command with Osa in close vicinity!

Meet Bela, a 4 month old Chocolate Lab who will be with us today and tomorrow for our daycare program, before her parents continue with some private lessons in the near future. We will be working on leash manners, place, sit, down and drop it/out especially as she is at the puppy stage where she wants to pick up everything. She is very food motivated and eager to learn. We’re excited to be working with this beautiful puppy and watching her mature into a great family dog!

We are really late posting this. Between private lessons, a training seminar, preparing for the storm, and recovering from the storm we have been pretty busy. We finally have some time to sit down and congratulate Finn and Phoebe on their graduation! They did a fantastic job at their go-home lesson, and their parents did a great job absorbing the information and skills needed to continue to lead a successful life with their two beautiful pups. We have some leftover videos from the end of their board and train that we will be posting shortly, as well as some updates after their follow up lessons in the coming weeks!

We took Finn and Phoebe out to Pet Supplies Plus to do some work! Finn absolutely knocked it out of the park (he’s done this before). Phoebe took a little more work to retain focus on me at the end of the leash, we spent five minutes at the door just working on eye contact before allowing her to explore the store. We also utilized the space near the smaller critters in the back, they both have pretty strong prey drives so it was a good opportunity to train some focus while around these kinds of distractions.

Ziggy 😍😍😍

This cute little fella will be joining us for six lessons to help get him off leash reliable, and work on staying calmer around the distractions that rile him up. Ziggy’s family also wants to be able to take him with them wherever they go, and we are so glad to be able to help them reach these goals!

Say hello to Mr. Dewey!

His parents just signed him up for 6 Private lessons. Their goals are to get him off leash reliable so he can accompany them on all their future adventures! We live a similar life, where we take our pups everywhere with us, and that’s the ultimate goal for all of our clients. We are excited to help create this lifestyle for Dewey’s parents, and see him get to explore the world with them!
