Briar is now Bluestem's Carolina Briar Thicket JH, finishing her AKC Junior Hunter title at the AWPGA National Specialty AKC Hunt Test. Charity was both Briar's handler and the chairperson of the whole specialty event. Look for more on the blog, including a hunting season update, in the coming weeks.

Sorry that I've been absent on socials lately, I've been working on this! 2024 AWPGA National Specialty in Winston-Salem and Pinehurst, North Carolina. The buttons to purchase meal tickets (closes tomorrow), enter the dog show on infodog.com (also closes tomorrow), to access the AKC Hunt Test premium (closes Nov. 4 by mail) and the Working Griffon Field Trial premium (closes Oct. 30 by mail) are all at the bottom of this link: https://www.awpga.com/2024-national-specialty.html

The only event that is AWPGA members-only is the annual meeting breakfast on Friday morning, November 8th. All are welcome to everything else. Sorry that I didn't mention it sooner, hopefully those of you who are nearby have seen this in other Griffon groups!

We've been podcast! Thank you to Bill at The Whoa Post for having us on!

Charity and Charles Upchurch have been committed to the breeding, training, and breed standards of the Wirehaired Pointing Griffon for nearly fifteen years. She has served as a board member with the national breed club and as the editor of the Griffonnier magazine, he is the Bluestem Kennels ~ Wirehaired Pointing Griffons trainer as well as the Director of Training for the Saluda River, South Carolina NAVHDA Chapter.

It's people like these two who help to build our community and keep it strong, and I'm thankful for them.

I have some grandpups in Texas that need homes. There are five sixteen-week-old puppies: two males and three females, located in San Antonio, Texas.
