Three B Kennels

Three B Kennels I have Brittanys and Australian Shepherds. I believe in breeding for quality NOT quantity. Three B = Bred for Beauty and Brains. I stand behind my dogs 150%.

I have two breeds Brittanys and Australian Shepherds, the Brittanys since 1971 and the Aussies since 1982. I have shown and finished well over 50 dogs of 15 different breeds in AKC, CKC & ASCA. I have also titled dogs in the obedience and working arenas. I am an ASCA approved judge for conformation and obedience. I majored and received a diploma in animal husbandry at a vocational technical school

and I earned a diploma in animal science from the North American School of Animal Sciences. I have held memberships in BCKC (All Breed Kennel Club), ASCA (Australian Shepherd Club of America), USASA (United States Australian Shepherd Association), ABC (American Brittany Club), and OBC (Oregon Brittany Club) and strictly adhere to the "Breeder's Code of Ethics" set out by these organizations I have produced dogs that have earned titles in Conformation, Obedience, Working, Hunting and Agility. Several have earned titles in multiple categories. I have dogs that are working Service Dogs and several that have become Certified Therapy Dogs. I have a permanently registered kennel name with ASCA & have ASCA Hall Of Fame Kennel #74 And Hall Of Fame Excellent Kennel #23. I have been a rescue representative for the Brittanys & Australian Shepherds and have done private rescue of ALL Dog & Cats Breeds. I am currently on the Board of Directors for TAS (Tillamook Animal Shelter). When I breed a litter, I always do it with the intention of being able to produce "Versatility Champions", not just "show dogs", "working/hunting dogs" or “good companions” but, dogs that can perform & do well in ALL areas of competition as well as being excellent personal companions when not in competition. I am EXTREMELY CRITICAL of my own dogs. I don't believe it is fair to a breed for a breeder to be "kennel blind" - not be able to see the faults (be they structural or personality faults) in their own dogs. I refuse to do "fad breedings" (breeding to the popular dog on the block). I plan my breedings based on improving upon the faults of both parents and enhancing the good qualities in them. I am always looking for dogs that can help me improve on what I have. This makes me look at other's dogs with an extremely critical eye as well. My ultimate goal is to be able to produce the "perfect dog". I do know if I believe I have the "perfect dog", that’s still just my opinion. I believe I am responsible for a pup for the duration of its life. I was the one who chose to bring it into the world and I will be there for that pup and it's owner until the end, just as if it were one of my children. My puppies/dogs are my 4-legged children. I want every pup I produce to have the best chance possible at a long, healthy, productive life. I will only breed dogs that have sound, stable temperaments and exhibit proper breed personality and characteristics. All of my breeding stock are tested clear from hereditary hip & elbow dysplasia and hereditary eye defects prior to entering my breeding program. In recent years I have added heart, patella & thyroid testing. In placing/selling our pups, I look for the right home for the right puppy. I would rather place a show puppy in a pet home than let it go to a show home where it may not be as well suited to the living conditions. I do puppy personality & temperament testing on all of my pups to determine what their personality will be like. I let my puppies go to their new homes at 8 weeks. At the time of sale all of the pups are current on shots & worming, and have had a veterinary physical and veterinary ophthalmologist eye exam. My pups are born in my bedroom and are raised in the house with the family to insure proper socialization. By the time the puppies are ready to go to their new homes; they have been started on house and crate training and have started to learn some basic manners. I believe in producing Quality not Quantity!!!

We got one of our Oops puppies back. Colby, he is a sweet, outgoing, goofy, loving, teenage boy. He weighs 47 # and is still growing as he just turned 8 months. He is 98% house trained. He sometimes has an accident and forgets to ask to go out when he is playing. He is very willing and eager to learn. Since he has come home he has learned heel and means heel. No pulling on the leash. Come is come front and center and sit. There is NO jumping up on people. He even does puppy push-ups, sit-down-sit-down-sit. He knows Wait, when going through the door, people always go first, Wait any time you are told. He gets along with All other dogs and is very respectful of other males, especially if they are intact. He loves cats and is very gentle with them. He is 100% crate trained and considers his crate his own bed and private space.
At this point, Colby needs to have continued obedience training, lots of exercise and directed play. He is learning to retrieve and hold / carry the retrieved item. He is willing to try anything I have asked of him and picks up new commands VERY quickly. He is showing the potential to be an Awesome 4-H, Agility, Obedience, Rally any kind of performance dog.

We have puppies. Australian Shepherd x Brittany puppies, born 11/8/22.
This was NOT a planned litter, and I was NOT HAPPY when the breeding happened. That being said, puppies are puppies. They all deserve to be raised well, loved and to get forever homes. I am raising this litter on the “Super-Dog” program, focusing on the service dog & therapy dog aspects of the program. The puppies are being socialized with people of all ages and sizes, other dogs, cats and as they get a little older, they will meet some of the farm animals.
By the time they are ready for their forever homes on January 3, 2023, they will have been wormed multiple times, will have age-appropriate vaccinations, be micro chipped, have had a full veterinary physical, temperament & aptitude tested and will be well on their way to being crate & house trained.
I have a questionnaire I require to be filled out by anyone interested in adopting one of these sweet babies. PM me for a questionnaire. I am taking deposits now. Pups will be placed based on temperament & aptitude testing results.
There are 9 total:
4 Red Merle Males
2 Red Tri Males
3 Red Merle Females

McKenzie, Boone, Kona, Lola, Tilly, Arlo, Casey & Wilson.
It is hard to believe you are all grown up. Time goes by too fast.

It took me 2 weeks to post this short blurb.
On December 17th I had to let my Special (Three B's .38 Special By Ta**us) go to the rainbow bridge.
She went far too soon. She was going to be 10 years at the end of March.
I am so thankful for her daughter McKenzie and of course my Aussie Toby & Miki the Corgi. They help me
Make it through every day....just one day at a time.
