Don’t Stop
Our grey stallion Brigg (Brijol x Garlina x Graggi) participated in his second day of showing dressage with Lauren Chumley at White Fences Equestrian Center. It has has proven to be another success! Just like yesterday, Brigg won his class - this time, Training level 3 - exactly 66%! We’re so proud of you, Brigg and Lauren!

Shining Star

How about these expected foals?

The hopeful Up and Coming!

Out of FOUR grey, three white, one red and one brown mare (and by red, grey and white stallions) Sunnyside Farms has NINE foals expected in 2025! FOUR are high quality white prospects (red and/or grey recessive), three highly anticipated grey prospects, two superior brown prospects and one riotous red due to hit the ground.

And they are… drumroll please…

Whispering Winds Tora Bastiansdatter is our first white mare to foal in February 2025 and her first baby as well. She is by Bastian out of Nellie (grey going back to our Danish mare Vikkelsoe’s Kunst x Max) and is white, red and grey recessive. Her foal is by our dear grey Fjord Brigg by the world class seven-country approved Brijol x Graggi. This baby will be an outstanding all around prospect with a white or grey haircoat.

Our second white prospect is out of our lovely grey Danish mare Vikkelsoe’s Kunst (Max X Hovdaren) by a white son of Skogheim’s Viljar, Lutgen’s Lilo. This foal will be incredibly sporty and athletic with a hopeful white (grey recessive) haircoat and is due in June.

Our very dear and lovely great white matriarch, Sunnyside Myklav Lilje (Lavrans x Kamillas Tyri x Solli Graen) is white/grey recessive and is bred to Njord Halsnaes (Rann x Pikant Halsnaes) who is our incredible red senior stallion. This foal is due in June and sure to be outstanding with excellent temperament, size, bone and color (hopefully white grey/red recessive).

Our fourth white- grey recessive prospect to foal in July is the young white mare Fawna Down (Oddens Favne X Solfin Skova). Fawna is bred to Njord Halsnaes for what we hope to be a phenomenal white - grey and red recessive foal with lots of talent and endless possibilities.

Additionally, we have numerous fantastic grey mares due to foal and one brown mare expecting in 2025. They are:

SDF Sirene - a lovely brown mare (PCF Vidar X Fernando X Ramms Lindeman) bred to our senior red stallion Njord Halsnaes due in February. This will be a nice big foal with great character and ability.

Bluebird Lane Phoebe, our gorgeous maiden grey mare (Mogly X Orka) bred to Brigg. This foal will be grey, is due in February and sure to be out of this world and a great show, pleasure, performance all around horse.

Sunnyside Smedsmo’s Mina is a homebred grey mare by the infamous Smedsmo Graen X Kila Grani. She is grey/red recessive and bred to Brigg. This foal, expected in March, should be an excellent therapy, family, trail and all around horse.

Seljeset Wendy has been a great producer for us following her import from Norway with her 1/2 brother Brigg in 2016. She is a lovely grey mare by Brijol x Sor Samiro. After such an outstanding c**t was born to her in 2024, we bred her back to Njord Halsnaes for a brown/grey and red recessive foal in March 2025. If it’s anything like her last foals, we expect a high quality athletic foal with an exceptional mind.

Our little darling Sunnyside Smedsmo’s Talene (Smedsmo Graen X Hostar) is expecting what is sure to be (her first) an incredible red foal in June. She is bred to Njord Halsnaes and we can’t wait for this little gem to appear.
