Hello everyone,

On Friday, we said goodbye to our sweet and wonderful pony, Rosie. She was peacefully laid to rest out in one of her favorite places here in the farm, her forever home.

Rosie was 40 years old and had lived quite a life. She gave lessons up until the beginning of September when she gave me the signs that she was ready to retire. During the last month we have been so lucky to spend extra time with her and to spoil her even more than normal.

This little pony has been loved by so many over her years at Three Owl and before. I would guess she in some way influenced more that a couple hundred horse crazy kids and adults!

I have been asked, and have decided to set up a fundraiser to help cover Rosie's end of life care and a memorial peach tree, her favorite fruit, for the farm. Any funds over will be put towards something special for the lesson program as Rosie was such a big part of it and we want her memory to live on.

Thanks you all for your kindness and for your love of this amazing pony. I know she will always be in our hearts.

For Your Consideration:
RUBY is a very flashy 12yo 14.3h Chestnut Sabino mare.
Rides both English and Western!
Great on the trails or in the show ring.
Very in your pocket horse with lovely ground manners.
Would be perfect for a smaller adult or teen.
Currently being brought back into shape due to the owner not having time to ride much this year.
Jumps 2'6" courses with ease, with scope for higher. Crosses everything on the trails and is not spooky. Rides out in groups or alone.
Would be a great 4-H or Pony Club horse. Trails, jumping, dressage, eventing, hunter/jumper, etc. She could do it all.
She can be sensitive/fast, so not suited for a beginner.
Eight and a half carrots. Negotiable to the right home.

Ruby is a very flashy 12yo 14.3h spayed Chestnut Sabino mare.
She is suited for both English and Western, but prefers English. Needs intermediate rider as she can be sensitive at times. Very in your pocket horse. Rides in an eggbutt Myler bit.
Would be perfect for a smaller adult or teen.

Currently being brought back into shape due to owner not having time to ride over the winter. Has jumped 2'9" courses with ease, with scope for heigher. Showed hunters with previous owner. Would make an amazing hunter, jumper, dressage, eventing, fox hunter, or a great horse for a Pony Clubber. Lots of trail riding experience as well. Crosses everything and is not spooky.

The weather is changing. We have a couple spots open for boarding. Lots of room to ride in our 60x240 indoor, and 2 large outdoor arenas! Daily turnout, grain 2x a day, hay or pasture. Secure tack rooms, heated wash racks, and a quiet atmosphere.

SOLD!!! Easy Star Bar “Katie” is a 20yo 14h APHA
Registered mare. She is black with a right hind sock, an irregular blaze, and cute white lower lip.
She goes Western or English and has been extensively used in a lesson program for first time beginners to intermediate riders. She is a solid 4H mount and a D1-D3 Pony Club pony that has helped multiple children reach those levels. Trail ride champ that will go anywhere and through anything with surefootedness. She has been ridden by children and teens as well as adults.
Katie has been there and done that! Gymkhana, pony club games, Western, English, hunters, low level dressage, combined tests, you name it, she’s done most of it.
She is patient and kind. No bad habits. Stalls well or can live out on a pasture or dry lot. She is an easy keeper only getting a little grain to eat her supplements. Solid feet and is barefoot. UTD on all shots, current coggins, and teeth. 🕖🖐️🥕🥕

Sadly due to the large amount of rainfall we have had recently (over 2 inches), we have decided to postpone the show this weekend.

The new date will be April 30th. We will be updating the showbill, and likely adding a few classes to the new April date.

We look forward to seeing you there, and are hoping for better weather.🙂

If you are planning on attending and are bringing a larger trailer, please contact us so we can set aside parking for you as with the snow it is limited.

We will be requiring Helmets for all riders, and Face Masks for everyone (in accordance to the IL State Mandate for sporting events)
